Remember Godfall, the game that came out with the PlayStation 5 but didn’t become very popular?
The team at Counterplay Games is back with a brand new action game for PlayStation.
Armatus is a quick and exciting action-shooter focused on intense, chaotic battles. It feels similar to games like Returnal and Saros, but doesn’t rely on overwhelming numbers of projectiles from enemies.
This game seems to have elements similar to roguelikes. According to the PlayStation Store description, you’ll use knowledge as a tool and, even when you die, you’ll keep progressing. You’ll fight tough demons with a scythe and a gun of your choice, and each attempt will help you learn and improve.
You won’t need to spend a lot of time struggling at the beginning of the game. The game description says that you start out well-equipped and strong, and you’ll continue to become even more powerful, eventually gaining everything you need to easily defeat your enemies.
Okay, so Armatus looks and sounds awesome, and they’re planning to release it on PS5 this winter. I’m thinking that probably means we’ll be able to play it early next year, which I’m really excited about!
