Reminders of Him – TRAILER

As a huge book and movie fan, I was really excited to see the trailer for Reminders of Him! It’s based on the incredibly popular novel by Colleen Hoover – seriously, it hit #1 on the New York Times bestseller list and has already sold over 6 million copies here in the US. It’s even been translated into 45 different languages! If you’re familiar with her work, you probably already know Colleen Hoover is a powerhouse author – she’s behind other massive hits like It Ends with Us, It Starts with Us, Layla, Heart Bones, Confess, and Verity.

Kenna enjoys a wonderful evening with her boyfriend, but one wrong decision lands her in prison. After serving seven years, she returns to her Wyoming hometown determined to start over and connect with her young daughter, Diem, whom she’s never met. However, Diem’s grandparents are unwilling to let Kenna see her. Amidst this struggle, Kenna finds an unlikely connection – and a growing romance – with Ledger, a former NFL player who now runs a local bar. As their relationship deepens, both face increasing risks, leading Kenna towards potential heartbreak and the possibility of a fresh start.

The film features a talented cast including Lauren Graham (known from Gilmore Girls) and Bradley Whitford, a three-time Emmy winner (Get Out), playing Diem’s grandparents, Grace and Patrick. Rudy Pankow (Uncharted) portrays Diem’s father, Scotty, and Grammy-winning country star Lainey Wilson (Yellowstone) plays Amy, a friend and coworker of Kenna’s. Rounding out the cast are Jennifer Robertson (Schitt’s Creek) as Kenna’s landlord, Zoe Kosovic (The Smashing Machine) as Kenna’s daughter, Hilary Jardine (Holidazed) and Nicholas Duvernay (The White Lotus) as Ledger’s bar staff, and, making her film debut, Monika Myers as Kenna’s neighbor, Lady Diana.

The trailer begins with Kenna playfully calling out a customer who’s buying plates one by one – she suspects he’s just finding an excuse to visit the shop! It’s funny, because our editor actually tried the same tactic once. It didn’t go well – he ended up with a legal order preventing him from doing it again. (‘You’re fired!’ – Ed)
