The cyberpunk platformer Replaced, developed by Sad Cat Studios, finally has a release date! It will be available on March 12, 2026, for Xbox Series X/S and PC, and will also be included with Xbox Game Pass from day one. A new release trailer, shown by IGN, highlights just how visually stunning the game is.
I’m totally hooked on this game, Replaced! It’s about R.E.A.C.H., an AI who’s somehow stuck inside a human body. He was made by this company, Phoenix Corporation, and he’s trying to figure out why he’s like this, all while uncovering a bunch of other secrets hidden around Phoenix-City. It’s set in an alternate version of the US, but what really makes it special is the 80s vibe – it gives the whole thing this awesome, unique cyberpunk feel. It’s not just sci-fi, it feels like the 80s too!
This game isn’t just a visually appealing platformer with interesting characters to meet. It also features a surprisingly enjoyable combat system that feels similar to the one in the Batman: Arkham games.
Game director Yura Zhdanovich announced the release date for Replaced, saying the team is thrilled to finally have a confirmed launch day. He acknowledged the game took longer to develop than expected and thanked fans for their patience and support, promising the wait will be worth it when the game releases on March 12th.
