Resident Evil Requiem amiibo Unveiled, Out This Summer

Capcom recently showcased the Resident Evil Requiem amiibo during the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase. These collectible figures, featuring the game’s main characters Leon S. Kennedy and Grace Ashcroft, were previously announced and will be released this summer.

The Grace Ashcroft amiibo shows her in her everyday clothes with a backpack. Leon’s amiibo features his new black outfit from Resident Evil Requiem and includes his new hatchet weapon. Capcom has confirmed that scanning either amiibo with a Switch 2 JoyCon or Pro controller will unlock special weapon skins in the game.

New amiibo figures were revealed alongside a special Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller inspired by Resident Evil Requiem. The controller, which costs $99.99, will be available on February 27th, the same day the game launches. It features unique artwork resembling a newspaper, hinting at key events from the Resident Evil series, including the Raccoon City Police Department incident from Resident Evil 2.

The upcoming game, Resident Evil Requiem, will offer distinct gameplay experiences depending on which character you’re playing. Grace’s sections will emphasize the classic survival horror aspects of the series, while Leon will be geared towards faster-paced, action-packed gameplay with more powerful weapons. Capcom also notes that Leon’s combat moves will be more aggressive and intense than in previous Resident Evil games.
