Capcom has a spooky surprise for Resident Evil fans this Halloween! They recently revealed that pre-orders are now open for Resident Evil: Requiem on home consoles and PC, as part of a trailer looking back at the series’ history.
Capcom also revealed information about special versions of the game, what you’ll get for pre-ordering, and other extras.
Here’s everything you need to know from Resident Evil: Requiem’s pre-order announcement.
You can now pre-order the game from all your favorite stores, both online and in person! It’s available for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Besides the regular game, there will also be two special versions available, and those who order early will receive a bonus item.

| Standard Edition: | Only contains the base game. |
| Deluxe Edition: | The base game, 5 costumes, 4 weapon skins, 2 charms, 2 screen filters, a custom sound pack, and additional in-game files. |
| Steelbook Deluxe Edition: | Same content as the Deluxe Edition with the added bonus of a Premium steelbook case and a Lenticular Card. |
| Collector’s Edition (Japan-only): | Same content as the Steelbook Deluxe Edition, with the added bonus of an acrylic stand and a slip-on collector’s box. |

If you pre-order the game, you’ll receive an exclusive ‘Apocalypse’ costume, likely inspired by the film of the same name from the Resident Evil series.
Next up, Capcom has a list of announcements regarding the game’s Nintendo Switch 2 port.
Capcom and Nintendo are teaming up to launch a Grace Ashcraft Resident Evil amiibo and a special Resident Evil: Requiem Nintendo Switch 2 Pro controller. Both are scheduled to be available in February 2026, with the amiibo arriving sometime in 2026.
In 2026, the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 will also get a special Resident Evil bundle called the Generation Pack. This pack will include the Gold Editions of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Resident Evil Village, as well as Resident Evil: Requiem.

Finally, Capcom announced that a Resident Evil and Fortnite collaboration is coming to celebrate the launch of Resident Evil games on the Epic Games Store.
If you buy the game from the Epic Games Store, you’ll get a Grace Ashcroft outfit for Fortnite once it’s available.
Are you ready to return to Racoon City for its requiem?
Based on my colleague Jez Corden’s first look, Resident Evil: Requiem seems to be the most unsettling and visually dark game in the series so far.
The game returns to the devastated city of Raccoon City, decades after its destruction in Resident Evil 3, creating a dark and terrifying atmosphere. This time, simply shooting won’t be enough to survive – you’ll need to use light to fend off the horrifying creatures you encounter.
I’ve been a long-time fan of the Resident Evil series, especially the HD Remaster, and I’m really excited for the release of Resident Evil: Requiem on February 27, 2026, to see what new scares it holds.
