Capcom will share more details about Resident Evil Requiem in a special presentation next month, as they previously announced. The Resident Evil Showcase will stream live on YouTube and Twitch on January 15th at 2 PM Pacific Time.
The 12-minute broadcast will reveal new gameplay footage and details about Requiem. A short preview shows Grace Ashcroft examining Leon’s gun and preparing to shoot zombies. In the preview, Leon narrowly escapes a chainsaw and then uses a tomahawk to defend himself.
The upcoming showcase should give us a better look at the open-world areas Leon will explore, beyond the usual indoor sections. The recent partnership between Capcom and Porsche strongly suggests that driving a vehicle will be a key part of how he gets around and investigates.
While Grace’s run-ins with the new enemy are just one piece of the puzzle, players are curious to see what other surprises Resident Evil Requiem holds. The game releases on February 27th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. Unlike past Resident Evil games, there won’t be a demo version before launch, as Capcom is prioritizing finishing the game.
