With the release of Return to Paradise season 2 drawing near, some initial photos have been released, offering fresh glimpses of Mack, Colin, and Glenn – and, naturally, Frankie the Dog.
An image shows Mackenzie, played by Anna Samson, getting friendly with her former partner and forensic pathologist Glenn (Tai Hara). This happens after the season one finale left their potential romance hanging in the balance with a big cliffhanger.
The situation unfolded when Glenn admitted to Frankie the Dog that his feelings for his ex-fiancée, Mack, hadn’t faded, even though he was engaged to Daisy, who is Andrea Demetriades’s daughter. Unbeknownst to Glenn, Mack overheard the entire confession.
In another photo, Mack and Lloyd Griffith’s character Colin are in a car together, and Colin is holding a full-size cutout of a shirtless Glenn. It’s been revealed that Colin is helping to plan Glenn’s bachelor party, which makes it difficult for Mack to avoid thinking about the upcoming wedding.

The six-part season coming soon to BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
The main actors from season 1-like Demetriades as Daisy, Catherine McClements as Philomena, Celia Ireland as Reggie, and Aaron L McGrath as Felix-are all coming back. We’re also excited to have Ardal O’Hanlon, a popular face from Death in Paradise, returning as well.

Just like in season 1, Ardal O’Hanlon will return as DI Jack Mooney. He originally played the lead role in Death in Paradise from seasons 6 to 9, and now he’s back in London. Interestingly, he also used to be Mackenzie’s boss when she worked on the show.
Here’s what to expect in season 2: The team will tackle even more puzzling mysteries, such as a man poisoned by chemicals while sailing alone. They’ll also encounter memorable personalities, including a difficult rock band who become suspects when one of their members is found dead.

In addition to her work as a detective, Mackenzie is thrown for a loop when Glenn admits he still has feelings for her. This revelation comes right before his wedding to Daisy, and it only makes Mackenzie’s own emotions about him more complicated.
At the same time, when Colin’s childhood friends unexpectedly show up, it begins to reveal the reasons why he gave up his old life to start over in the close-knit town of Dolphin Cove.
