Revised PS5 Pro Model Reportedly Coming Soon in Europe, But Don’t Expect Much

A new version of the PS5 Pro is reportedly coming very soon to the European market.

That’s according to very reliable leaker billbil-kun, reporting via Dealabs.

It seems the new model, CFI-7121, is mostly just a small hardware update, and will likely be very similar to the previous version. The main improvement is expected to be better energy efficiency.

According to Dealabs, the PlayStation 5’s storage capacity won’t be decreased, there won’t be any other physical changes, and the price will stay the same.

It’ll be going on sale in Europe from 30th September 2025.

This change would be similar to what Sony did with the standard PS5, but in that instance, the storage space actually went down, from 1 TB to 825 GB. However, according to the report, the PS5 Pro won’t have a reduced storage capacity.

It’s still unclear if the updated PS5 Pro will be released in the United States, the report states.

Sony, like other video game console makers, often releases updated versions of their existing systems. These updates are usually to improve efficiency, like using less power, or to make small improvements inside the console.

Considering billbil-kun’s reliable history, we believe this information is accurate, but we don’t anticipate Sony will make a big announcement about it. The updated PS5 Pro will likely just be a straightforward replacement for the existing model.

We’d love to hear from you! If you’re a PS5 Pro owner who cares about energy efficiency, are you excited about this updated version? Share your thoughts in the comments!
