RHORI’s Rulla Pontarelli Addresses Photos of Husband Cheating on Her

The Rhode Island rumor mill is working overtime.

On the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island, Rulla Nehme Pontarelli openly discussed photos that surfaced of her husband, Brian Pontarelli, appearing close to another woman.

The controversy began in December 2024 when fellow actress Jo-Ellen Tiberi informed Rulla about compromising photos that had been posted online.

Jo-Ellen had photos of Brian and the cockroach that she shared with others, and apparently talked about it around town. At first, I thought she was trying to help me, but then I found out she’d shown the pictures to everyone, which really upset me.

Even though Rulla told her friends, Liz McGraw and Kelsey Swanson, that Brian’s affair was over, Liz didn’t believe her. She flatly dismissed Rulla’s positive description of their relationship.

Honestly, as Liz put it, it’s pretty obvious Brian is still involved with this other woman. And if Rulla refuses to see what’s happening and keeps pretending everything is okay, well, Liz just can’t stand dishonesty. She has zero tolerance for it.

Later in the show, Rulla and Brian, parents to Luca, 8, and Laila, 5, talked about the challenges they faced during their marriage.

“Let’s not dwell on what happened last year,” the podiatrist told his wife of ten years. “It’s over, and I’d really like to focus on the future.”

Rulla described the moment she confronted Brian about his affair. In a private interview, she explained that after seeing the photos, she looked at him and directly asked if there was anything he needed to tell her, urging him to be honest. She said he became very upset, admitting it was over and desperately begging for forgiveness while crying.

Although Rulla appeared confident while working with her fellow actors on RHORI, she still hasn’t completely forgiven Brian for his affair.

As the businesswoman told producers, “I’m still working on that.”

Finally, Brian reassured his partner, “We’re a strong couple, and I’m completely on your side. I’ve even shared my location with you so you always know where I am. I love my wife and family, and it’s clear others are just envious.”
