Jen Shah, a star on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, confirmed the death of her 23-year-old son, Robert Cosby Sr., on February 25th. He was found deceased by Salt Lake City police two days prior.

Mary shared in a statement on February 25th that her son, Robert Jr., has passed away. While deeply saddened, she finds comfort in her faith and the belief that he is now at peace. She and her family appreciate everyone’s prayers and are relying on God to help them through this difficult time.

I was so saddened to hear about Robert Jr.’s passing on February 23rd. Police were called to check on a possible overdose, and while the official cause of death is still under investigation by the medical examiner, it’s a truly heartbreaking situation. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

According to his lawyer, Clayton Simms, the TV personality was released from the Salt Lake County Metro Jail earlier this month after serving two months. His struggles with the law and getting sober were previously shown on his mother’s Bravo show.

Simms shared with Page Six that this experience helped him get sober and think straight. He’s excited about making positive changes in his life. He admits it took him a while to accept his marriage was ending, but now he realizes it’s over and is focused on the future.

Robert Jr. admitted guilt on eight charges in December, including assault and breaking a court order meant to protect his estranged wife, 21-year-old Alexiana Arian Smokoff, as reported by People magazine. Six lesser charges were dropped and cannot be filed again.

During the recent reunion show for season six of RHOSLC, Mary stated she wasn’t concerned about her son, even with his history of difficulties.

She said she knows he’s in a place where he’s currently not using drugs. She understands she needs to give him space to learn from his own choices, even though he’s facing difficult consequences. Ultimately, she’s accepting of the situation.
