Rihanna jokingly responded to a meme that used a zoomed-in picture of her face to comment on relationships.
The Instagram account Fembase recently pointed out that many women underestimate how much their partners actually enjoy candid, unpolished photos. In a post on November 21st, they shared a picture of Rihanna looking natural during a 2011 performance, explaining that these ‘real’ moments often feel more genuine and personal than perfectly posed photos.
Many people online expressed similar feelings, but Rihanna—who has three children, RZA (3), Riot (2), and Rocki (2 months), with A$AP Rocky—was bothered by a candid photo of herself that was included in the background.
In fact, four days after the meme was posted, she jokingly wrote, “How I catch this stray tho?”
Rihanna didn’t love how surprised she looked in the photo, but it perfectly captures her incredible sense of style. She’s become famous for her fashion choices – people often call her the Queen of the Met Gala and praise her maternity wear, whatever the time of year. In this picture from about ten years ago, she’s wearing a denim crop top, black leather shorts with diamonds, and her signature auburn curls from her Loud album era.
Rihanna’s fashion sense has continued to improve, and she and A$AP Rocky recently made a statement at the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards. Rocky, 37, wore a black Chanel suit with a yellow sweater, while Rihanna chose a sleek Alaïa trenchcoat and styled her hair in a low bun.
Although she’s been showcasing beautiful outfits lately, the actress from Guava Island explained that becoming a mother led her to redefine her own sense of style.
She recently told Harper’s Bazaar that simply getting dressed has become a struggle. She explained that she finds herself constantly thinking about practicality – what’s sensible, easy, and quick – which can actually discourage her from leaving the house. She tries to avoid overthinking it, but the process often makes her want to stay home.
She explained that the process of getting ready – doing makeup, hair, and then choosing an outfit – felt disorienting. She added that despite the joy fashion usually brings, she’s been missing out on that enjoyment lately.
