Annapurna Interactive and Third Shift have announced that their single-player road trip adventure game, Forever Ago, will be released this fall on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The game will be available on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store. It was originally revealed in July 2020.
Here is an overview of the game, via Annapurna Interactive:
In the game Forever Ago, you play as Alfred, who is dealing with a personal tragedy. He drives north in his minivan, using an instant camera to document his journey and hopefully find a way to move forward.
Throughout his adventure, Alfred will discover stunning landscapes and meet interesting characters as he travels to remarkable places – peaceful forests, vast deserts, and towering mountains. He’ll investigate objects to learn about the history of these locations and the people who lived there. Along the way, he creates lasting memories, capturing them with his camera and using the photos to help him solve puzzles and document his experiences.
With music by Clark Aboud, the creator of the Slay the Spire soundtrack, Forever Ago is a touching story about love, loss, and finding hope again.
