The popular duo, Rylan Clark and Rob Rinder, are returning to our TV screens with the second season of their BBC travel show “Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour.” We now have the release date confirmed!
The upcoming season, featuring the duo embarking on a journey they’ve named “Passage to India,” inspired by EM Forster’s 1924 novel, is scheduled to air on BBC Two on Sunday, 24th September at 9pm. You can also catch all episodes on iPlayer.
In the second season, the duo is set to venture into India, where they’ll explore the nation’s age-old knowledge, art, and culture. This journey may potentially present personal, intellectual, and physical challenges for both of them, as per the show’s official summary.
The BBC renewed the show for a second season in October 2024.
Rob Rinder, in a statement, expressed that he felt profoundly alive, much like his literary idol E.M. Forster, during his visit to India. It was an exceptionally beautiful experience for him.
In a subsequent remark, he expressed his disbelief: “It’s hard for me to accept that I had to walk barefoot in Varanasi to seek spiritual enlightenment when Rylan attended a yoga class. However, the art and the people I encountered have had a profound impact on my life.
Rylan mentioned, “I’m still in awe of the reaction we received for The Grand Tour featuring Rob and myself. As BAFTA award recipients now, I felt compelled to explore a culture that was relatively unknown to me.
Although I wasn’t sure I could manage it, there’s an enchanting quality to the disorder – each moving, living entity seems like a work of art in motion. And, as you navigate through it all, be mindful of the cow.
