I’ve put rumors to rest about my anticipated surprise performance at this year’s Glastonbury Festival, as stated by yours truly, Robbie Williams.
This year’s annual music festival at Worthy Farm has sparked discussions about who might fill one of the many unannounced spots in the schedule, with Robbie Williams being a popular guess.
Despite the confusion earlier, he has now made it clear on his Instagram Stories that he will not be performing this year. He encourages everyone to go see The 1975, Busta Rhymes, Self Esteem, Charli XCX, and Reverend and The Makers instead.
Presently, the renowned musician is touring across Europe, showcasing his latest album, Britpop, which celebrates his past experiences at Glastonbury Festival 30 years ago, including the unforgettable nights spent with Oasis. During that time, he was known for his lively antics in a red Adidas jumpsuit, sporting bleached blonde hair and a conspicuous missing tooth.
On the opening day of Glastonbury Festival, which was held on June 27th, 2025, Robbie fueled rumors by sharing an Instagram post featuring what appeared to be a memorial plaque from Worthy Farm, symbolizing a significant moment.
1995 saw an unexpected visit to this zone by Robbie Williams, who lacked the necessary credentials, approval, or adherence to contemporary style.

He then followed it with a picture of a painted Glastonbury sign, which only added to fan theories.
1995 saw Robbie, fresh from departing Take That, make a lively appearance at Glastonbury, engaging in festivities, posing for photos alongside Liam Gallagher, and playfully showing off a toothless grin to the camera during one of those moments.
The image you see has recently been adopted as the cover for his Britpop album. It’s currently on display, transformed into an artistic piece, inside a museum.
Four weeks back, Robbie uploaded an image on Instagram along with a lengthy caption detailing his experience at the festival. In it, he spoke about the intense approach towards music during that period and expressed feelings of not fitting in, suggesting he didn’t quite belong there.
In part of his writing, it reads as if he’s comparing the sight to that of a school principal mowing their own lawn.
“A person, an image, completely out of place. Out of context. Out of reason.”
“I was in a boy band. And boy band members do not go to Glastonbury,” he added.
