Robert Irwin is waltzing into a new role.
I was so thrilled to see her win the Mirrorball on Dancing With the Stars – she absolutely deserved it! And now, I can’t wait to watch her host I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here in Australia. It’s amazing to see her continue to use her platform for good, and I’ll definitely be tuning in!
Oh my gosh, Robert just teased us on Instagram! He said ‘Welcome back to South Africa,’ which is SO exciting because it means they filmed the new season there! And then he told everyone in Australia to get ready because I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here is coming back January 18th! I’ve been counting down the days, honestly. I can’t wait!
Robert Irwin, the 22-year-old son of Terri and the late Steve Irwin, recently showed his fans around the show’s famous treehouse. He hinted that they’re planning some changes and raising the stakes for the twelfth season.
Robert says this season will be the most difficult and emotionally charged one yet. He predicts the celebrity contestants will really be put to the test.
Oh my gosh, Robert is coming back for his third season with Julia Morris – she’s amazing, by the way! – and it’s just… everything! He’s talked before about how weird it is having everyone watch your life, and honestly, I’m just so fascinated by everything he does. I can’t wait to see him back on screen with Julia!
He told Man of Many in 2025, jokingly, that he’s grown up with cameras his whole life. He explained that being around them constantly has simply become natural for him.
You know, one of the biggest things I’ve learned over the years is to really reframe how I think about being in the spotlight. Honestly, I don’t get nervous about public speaking or cameras anymore. I just see the audience – or even a camera – as just another person in the room. It sounds simple, but it completely takes the pressure off!

Robert’s ease on camera has opened doors for him throughout his life, allowing him to contribute to the family business at Australia Zoo and pursue various hosting opportunities.
As a huge fan, it’s amazing to hear about all the incredible work he does! He’s always up for a challenge, whether it’s appearing on shows like I’m a Celebrity or getting hands-on with the animals at Australia Zoo. But what really excites me is his dedication to science – they’re actually conducting the longest-ever study tracking crocodiles, working with the University of Queensland. It’s just phenomenal!
Robert explained that his work requires a surprising range of skills – everything from gardening and science to performing and photography. He feels fortunate to have explored around 20 different fields within a single career.

Okay, so you HAVE to hear about Dr. Martin Best, played by the amazing Josh Charles! He’s this incredible surgeon, seriously top of his game in Boston, but he just… leaves it all behind! He goes back to this tiny, adorable fishing village where he grew up, thinking he can just chill and be a regular doctor. But oh boy, is he in for it! He’s super direct – some might say a little rude, honestly – and the townspeople? They’re… a lot. They’re quirky, they need constant attention, and they IMMEDIATELY clash with him, even though he’s literally their only doctor! It’s hilarious and frustrating to watch. He can fix anything medically, but all he wants is peace and quiet. Instead, he gets pulled into all their drama – their fights, their crazy stories, everything! What they don’t realize is he’s hiding something HUGE. He’s got this awful new phobia and a really difficult past that makes it impossible for him to connect with people. But these villagers? They’re persistent, they don’t give up, and I have a feeling they’re exactly what he needs, even if he doesn’t know it yet. I’m totally obsessed!
