Robosen has become well-known among Transformers fans for creating incredibly detailed and high-end robots in partnership with Hasbro. Over the past few years, they’ve released impressive versions of characters like Megatron, Optimus Prime, Grimlock, and Bumblebee, featuring automatic transformations and hundreds of voice lines from the original G1 voice actors. Now, they’re adding Soundwave to the collection, and they’ve gone even further with authenticity by including a working Bluetooth speaker that activates when Soundwave is in cassette mode.
Soundwave is arguably the most remarkable Transformer Robosen has created so far. This incredibly detailed robot features 84 advanced chips and 28 motors, allowing for complex movements and its transformation between robot and cassette player forms. To make it even more authentic, Robosen brought back Frank Welker, the original voice of Soundwave, to record over 200 lines of dialogue. Engineer Scott Brownlee then refined these recordings to perfectly match the iconic sound from the original 1984 series, including classic phrases like “Destroy Autobots” and “Soundwave superior, Autobots inferior.”

pre-order at Entertainment Earth ($999 for 30 days / $1399 List)
Soundwave lets you easily stream music via Bluetooth. Plus, the buttons on the vintage-style tape deck actually work – you can play, pause, and skip tracks. It even has a built-in recorder, so you can create your own audio content.
