Rumour: Rayman Legends Remake May Be Announced This Summer

It’s that time of year again – the period when lots of unconfirmed rumors about video games start popping up, especially during the summer months.

Rumors are circulating that Ubisoft might be revisiting Rayman Legends, their colorful and popular side-scrolling platform game, with a remake.

According to Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming – a source known for accurate reporting – the remake was briefly discussed on a recent podcast episode. He mentioned it in passing, suggesting its development is underway.

Henderson reports receiving a lot of encouraging feedback about the upcoming remake of Rayman Legends, and confirms that development is still underway.

He believes we’ll likely get news about it this summer, though he admits it’s uncertain. They’re currently working on a remake of Rayman Legends, and it sounds like they plan to include a lot of content from that game.

He seems pretty confident the game will be released, and suggests we might see an official announcement as early as this summer. This timing fits with industry trends, as June is usually a busy month for game announcements from big companies.

We’ve heard rumors of multiple Rayman games currently in the works, and it wouldn’t be shocking if one of them was a remake of the popular and well-received Rayman Legends.

It originally launched in 2013 for PS3 (and Vita!) and came to PS4 the following year.

In our opinion, Rayman Legends doesn’t need to be remade. It already looks and plays fantastic on today’s gaming systems.

If a remake is made, it will be fascinating to see what new elements it introduces to attract audiences again.
