The movie Deadpool & Wolverine has been a huge success for Marvel, and fans are eager to see Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman reprise their roles. However, their involvement in future projects hasn’t been officially announced yet.
The upcoming superhero movie will bring together all the major heroes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including the original Avengers team, newer heroes, the Fantastic Four, characters from Wakanda, and the X-Men. With the X-Men joining the cast, fans expect to see Deadpool and Wolverine in the film, and a recent social media post from Ryan Reynolds has only added to the excitement.
Is Deadpool in Avengers: Doomsday?
The actor shared a fan-made video featuring moments from the Marvel Cinematic Universe on his Instagram Stories on May 16th, and praised it as being incredibly impressive.
Manuel Paula created a video edit that Ryan Reynolds shared on social media. Paula reacted with excitement, posting on Instagram Stories, “Ryan Reynolds?!?” along with several exploding head emojis.
This two-minute clip is the seventh installment in a series showcasing different Marvel characters. It begins with Spider-Man, then moves to Black Panther, and features Deadpool right from the start, as seen in the opening credits. A voiceover introduces it by saying, “Let’s give the people what they want.”
A fantastic video edit combines Marvel Cinematic Universe characters with a remix of *NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye.” Originally posted on March 26th, the video has already received over 20,000 likes. As a nod to the energetic editing style, Deadpool, played by Ryan Reynolds, says in a separate fight scene, “Cue the montage, baby!”
Ryan Reynolds’ portrayal of Deadpool is incredibly popular, but his involvement in the new movie hasn’t been officially announced. While many assume he’ll be in it, given the success of the previous film, there’s some uncertainty, particularly following recent issues with a former colleague and director, Justin Baldoni.
Who Is in Avengers: Doomsday?
The upcoming film features Robert Downey Jr., but instead of playing Tony Stark/Iron Man, he’s taking on the role of the villain Doctor Doom. Joining him are Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Anthony Mackie as the new Captain America (Sam Wilson), Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, and Sebastian Stan as Bucky.
The next Avengers movie will feature several new faces, including the Fantastic Four, plus actors Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn. Returning stars Florence Pugh, Wyatt Russell, David Harbour, and Lewis Pullman will also appear.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is introducing several X-Men characters, alongside Channing Tatum reprising his role as Gambit. Ian McKellen, James Marsden, Patrick Stewart, and Kelsey Grammer are also returning as Magneto, Cyclops, Professor X, and Beast, respectively. While many character appearances haven’t been officially confirmed, more announcements are expected soon.
Avengers: Doomsday premieres in theaters on Dc. 18.
