Xbox Game Pass subscribers have until November 15th to enjoy a game that’s launching directly on the service before it’s removed – it won’t be coming back anytime soon. Microsoft regularly adds new games to Game Pass, and right now, subscribers can play Winter’s Burrow on day one at no additional cost beyond their subscription.
I’m super hyped because Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is hitting Game Pass this month – it’s supposed to be the biggest launch of November! But it’s always a bit of a bummer, even with all the new games being added, that some titles have to leave the service each month when their time is up.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Leaves Xbox Game Pass In November
The Game Was Released As A Temporary Console Exclusive
The survival horror shooter S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be removed from Xbox Game Pass on November 15th. It’s currently playable on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and through cloud gaming with a Game Pass subscription. Note that access is limited to Premium, Ultimate, and PC Game Pass members – those with the Essential tier won’t be able to play it through the service.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl came out in November 2024 for Windows PC and Xbox Series X/S, initially available only on Xbox consoles. It was also added to the Game Pass subscription service on its launch day, making the service even more appealing. Now that it’s been removed from Game Pass, it’s uncertain whether it will be added back, or when that might happen. This is your last opportunity to play it through Xbox Game Pass.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Is A Worthwhile Survival Horror Game
The Game Has Been Praised
There are lots of excellent survival horror shooters to choose from, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is one of them. In a review by Ebaster, we gave Stalker 2 a 9/10, highlighting its immersive gameplay and large, detailed open world. The game also stands out for its captivating story and atmosphere.
While the game has a few small bugs and some systems aren’t perfect, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is still a fun and engaging survival horror experience, especially with its first-person shooting. If you enjoy the genre, you’ll probably enjoy playing it.
The game isn’t available for long, so trying it now through the subscription service might make you want to buy it. It’s a shame S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is leaving Xbox Game Pass, but it highlights that you should play some new releases right away.
