Okay, so I’m super excited because Sacred 2 Remastered is dropping on PS5 next week! It’s a bit of an older game, honestly – some people even call it a cult classic action RPG, but I remember playing it years ago and having a blast. It’s cool to see it getting a new life!
The game was originally released on the PS3 and was generally liked. It let players experience the story from two different perspectives – playing as either the ‘good’ or ‘evil’ side – and had a solid selection of characters to choose from.
This game is a classic RPG that many have likely forgotten, and its revival fits perfectly with THQ Nordic’s history – similar to how they brought Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning back to life.

This upcoming remaster is reportedly only the first step in a larger plan. In a recent video discussing the project’s origins, Sacred co-creator Franz Stradal suggested that the series has a promising future ahead.
“Sacred is back, but it’s not the end — it’s just the beginning,” he teases.
We have many exciting plans for the future of Ancaria, with plenty more stories to share. We’ll be revealing them soon, so keep an eye out for updates!
It will be fascinating to see what Stradal and his team come up with, but it’s been a long time since owning Sacred has held any real significance.
We’re excited to see if the Sacred 2 Remaster lives up to the original! Are you planning to buy it? If you’ve played Sacred 2 before, let us know in the comments below and share your thoughts!
