Sadie Robertson is feeling grateful following a terrifying ordeal.
The Duck Dynasty star remembered when her and her husband, Christian Huff’s, 8-month-old daughter, Kit, started choking on a snack while in her high chair. The situation immediately kicked her into high gear.
Sadie shared a video on Instagram April 12th, explaining how quickly things turned serious. She wrote that her mother quickly took her daughter out of the high chair and handed her to Sadie right as she stopped breathing.
As soon as it happened, everyone sprang into action. My mom immediately called 911, I began CPR, and everyone else started praying and helped get the other children to safety downstairs.
Sadie, a mom to four-year-old Honey and two-year-old Haven, explained that she likes to be ready for anything, so she’d previously learned what to do if a baby is choking or stops breathing by watching instructional videos.
Sadie described it as her body instinctively knowing what to do. She felt guided by God’s Spirit, which worked with her knowledge and experience. She recalled asking, ‘What do I do?’ and then immediately beginning to act and speak words of life.
Kit started breathing again just as the paramedics arrived, thankfully. She was taken to the hospital and stayed overnight to be monitored.

Sadie Robertson, daughter of Korie and Willie Robertson, wanted to share her frightening experience with her fans to help others know how to react during an emergency.
“It happened SO fast,” she added, “and I’m so thankful I was able to go straight into action!”
Sadie was deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support she and her family received after sharing her story. She mentioned the difficult experience happened very early in their family vacation, “within the first hour.”

She shared on Instagram that the past week was a mix of joy and difficulty. While they cherished time together, feeling thankful and finding moments of peace, they also dealt with anxiety and sadness. She explained that it’s important to be honest about the tough times, even though they aren’t usually visible in photos.
The reality star wanted to share her experience to support others who are caring for babies.
She expressed her gratitude, adding that she always aims to be genuine and offer support to her audience, and sent them her love.

Phil Robertson and his wife, Miss Kay (born Marsha Kay Carroway), shared a 59-year marriage. Phil passed away in May 2025 at the age of 79.
Phil Robertson, the founder of Duck Commander, and his wife Kay raised four sons: Alan, Jason (known as Jase), Willie, and Jep. Phil also has a daughter, Phyllis, born from a relationship outside of his marriage in the 1970s.
In December 2024, the family announced that Phil was diagnosed with early-stage Alzheimer’s disease. Despite this, he remained a beloved figure within his large family as production began on Duck Dynasty: The Revival, which first aired in June 2025.
Phil’s health diagnosis has been difficult for the whole family, Korie Robertson shared in an interview. She believes Phil wouldn’t want to acknowledge it, but it’s clearly impacted Willie and caused him to seriously consider what he wants to be remembered for.

Jase married Missy Robertson in 1990.
The couple share sons Reed Robertson and Cole Robertson, as well as daughter Mia Robertson.
Although Jase Robertson, the COO of Duck Commander, created some of the company’s most famous duck calls, he’s not the family member people turn to for predicting the future.
I originally doubted the show would succeed,” he admitted to Fox News after Duck Dynasty became a hit. “Our family is definitely unique, but I didn’t expect people to be interested in watching us.
Reed and his wife, Brighton Robertson, have three children: daughters Merris and Frances, and son David. Cole is marrying Emily Hamn in 2025.

Willie has led Duck Commander as CEO since 2002, but in June 2025, he announced he would be stepping back from the role, though not completely retiring.
In 1992, he married Korie Howard, and together they have six children. Their family includes Rebecca Robertson, who joined them in 2004 as a 16-year-old exchange student from Taiwan and became like a daughter; John Luke Robertson; Sadie Robertson; Bella Robertson; Will Robertson Jr., who was adopted as a baby in 2001; and Rowdy Robertson, who joined the family through adoption in 2016 at age 13.
By the season two premiere of Duck Dynasty: The Revival on March 7, 2026, the couple had eleven grandchildren. Luke and his wife, Mary Kate Robertson, have five children, while Sadie and her husband, Christian Huff, are parents to three daughters. Their daughter Rebecca and her husband, John Reed, have two sons, Zane and Xander, and one daughter, Holland.
Will tied the knot with Abby Kay Robertson in 2023.

Luke and Mary Kate have been married since June 2015 and are parents to five children: John Shepherd, born October 14, 2019; Ella, born April 8, 2021; Wells, born September 12, 2023; and twins Sylvie and Francie, born February 24, 2026.

Sadie and Christian got married in 2019 at the Louisiana home of the Robertson family, known for their faith-based values and Christian’s fitness company, 4:8 Men.
The host of the That’s Good podcast shared with People magazine that when someone makes you a better person and is your closest friend, you naturally want to be with them every day. They expressed excitement about finally being able to spend each day together.
The couple has three daughters: Honey James Huff, born in May 2021; Haven Belle Huff, born in May 2023; and Kit Carroway Huff, born in August 2025.

Youngest Robertson brother Jep has been married to Jessica since 2001.
They share three daughters—Lily, Merritt and Priscilla—as well as sons River and Gus.
The family is expanding quickly! Lily and Austin Staulbaum welcomed their son, Winston Ezelle Stalbaum, in February 2025. Priscilla and Dillon Nash had a daughter, August Mae Nash, on October 6, 2025, and Merritt and Tyler Metro became parents to daughter Nellie Jane Metro in December.

Silas Robertson, known to fans of Duck Dynasty as Uncle Si, has been married to Christine Robertson since 1971. He’s also Phil Robertson’s younger brother and often steals the show with his personality.
The Army vet and his bride share daughter Trasa and son Scott.
Trasa and her husband, Kyle Coburn, are parents to four sons. Scott also has four children with his wife, Marsha Robertson, who is a musician and plays in a band with her father-in-law called Uncle Si & the Sicotics.

Phil unexpectedly learned later in life that he had a daughter from an affair he’d had in the 1970s.
In March 2020, the family’s father announced the news with his sons Al, Jase, Willie, and Jep on their podcast, Unashamed.
Al received a letter from Phyllis Thomas suggesting they might be siblings. After considering it, Al talked to his parents, and Phil agreed to take a DNA test to confirm.
Phyllis was subsequently welcomed into the fold.
You know, when Phyllis joined our family, my mom, Kay, was just incredible. From the very beginning, she completely embraced Phyllis, making her feel like one of us right away. It was beautiful to see how quickly Phyllis became a true part of the family.
