It’s time to reveal who’s playing which character! This tactic of keeping actors’ roles secret in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is only exciting for so long, and with Sadie Sink from Stranger Things, the endless guessing has become tiresome.
Currently, that’s all the information available, and fans are left to guess what will happen next. With the X-Men joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Phase 6, many believe Sadie Sink is the perfect choice to play Jean Grey, also known as Dark Phoenix. In fact, rumors are circulating online, and some fans have even created mock-ups of what she might look like in the role.
If the recent rumors are accurate, we can only hope the finished product is much better than that AI-generated image. Officially, it’s been confirmed that Dove Cameron is joining the cast and her character will play a major role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is scheduled to finish filming in December 2025. She’ll also be important in the next big Marvel movie, Avengers: Doomsday (which is when the X-Men are expected to return), and Avengers: Secret Wars. She recently addressed speculation that she’ll be playing the new Jean Grey.
This was going on even before I found out I’d be involved with the project. I was confused at first, trying to figure out what everyone was discussing. It’s easy to forget that people can change their hair color, and I get why everyone has their theories.
Sadie Ready to Sink Her Teeth Into Marvel
Okay, so I’m a huge fan and I’ve been following all the buzz around Sadie Sink’s new role. It’s honestly kind of funny – she’s clearly getting annoyed with everyone constantly asking who she’s playing, especially since she’s not allowed to say! Most actors love playing along with the guessing games, but Sadie seems like she just wants to tell us so the questions can move on to the really interesting stuff – like how she’s approaching the character and getting ready to play them. It’s cool she cares so much about giving a thoughtful performance!
“People will just have to wait and see. I’m excited for all of it to maybe be put to rest.”
Marvel really needs to stop keeping fans in the dark with these big reveals. But until they confirm who the new character is – whether it’s Jean Grey, Mayday Parker, Rachel Cole, Shathra, Firestar, or someone else from Spider-Man’s history – most people will assume she’s the Dark Phoenix, regardless of the truth.
