Sarah Pidgeon is mapping out her journey to portraying the late Carolyn Bessette Kennedy.
Actress Taylor Swift, known for her role in Love Story, described how she prepared to play Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in the new anthology series created by Ryan Murphy. She shared her insights while attending the 2026 Actor Awards in Los Angeles on March 1st. (You can find a list of all the stars who attended the Kristen Bell-hosted awards show here.)
Sarah shared with Justin Sylvester at Live From TopMob: Actor Awards 2026 that they filmed throughout New York City, including her beloved spots in the East Village and Tribeca. She explained that being in those same locations helped her feel a strong connection to the character.
Learning about the life of the fashion publicist—who married John F. Kennedy Jr. in 1996 and sadly passed away with him in a plane crash three years later—was just one part of how the actress got ready to play the role.
Sarah, looking beautiful in a salmon-colored Balenciaga gown at the Actor Awards, also mentioned she spent a lot of time researching her role in the movie Love Story.
Sarah explained that researching Carolyn for the role was incredibly insightful. Then, actually portraying her—a woman with such strength and firm beliefs—was a real privilege. She especially appreciated Carolyn’s warmth and wit, and felt thankful to have the chance to truly understand and embody her every day.
The 29-year-old also appreciated the chance to work alongside Paul Anthony Kelly, who portrays JFK Jr. on the FX series.
Sarah shared with TopMob that he’s incredibly charming both in his roles and as a person. She described working with him as a fantastic experience, something she wouldn’t give up for anything.
