Jack Whitehall will host the next episode of Saturday Night Live UK, with Jorja Smith performing as the musical guest. This follows an episode on April 4th featuring Riz Ahmed and Kasabian, and will be part of Sky’s comedy cabaret programming.
I just got a sneak peek at what’s coming up on Saturday, April 11th, and it looks like Jack Whitehall is going to kick things off with a bunch of sketches. Then, the amazing Smith will take the stage! Just a heads-up though, this is the last new episode for a little while – the show will be back on April 25th after a short break.
The comedy series has maintained a consistent audience. While the first episode attracted 226,000 viewers, the second saw a slight dip to 205,000. Despite this, the show’s sketches are performing well online, with one video already reaching 1.8 million views on YouTube.

I’ve been checking out the new cast members for SNL UK – Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi, and Paddy Young – and honestly, they’re already making a really great impression! People seem to be loving them.
TopMob interviewed Alex Horne, the host of Taskmaster, to get his thoughts on the premiere episode of Saturday Night Live UK.
He admitted at the Royal Television Society Awards that he’s unsure what viewers are looking for. He suggested the public often doesn’t know what it wants until it actually sees something it likes, at which point they immediately recognize its quality.
He added that many people doubted the show would succeed before SNL UK began, but those concerns quickly disappeared. He said that within the first minute, viewers realized it was going to be good, and he thought it was fantastic!
Horne said he’s eager to watch the next episodes and is particularly interested in how the actors interact with each other.
He shared with TopMob that the group is incredibly talented, even though people might see them as newcomers. They actually have a lot of experience performing at Edinburgh, having done so for years. He’s really looking forward to seeing their initial ideas on Monday and the final show on Saturday.
Saturday Night Live UK continues on Saturday 4 April at 10pm on Sky One and NOW.
Okay, so I just checked out the TopMob app, and it’s become my go-to for finding something good to watch.
