Savannah Chrisley Says Todd and Julie Hit ‘All-Time Low’ Before Pardon

Savannah Chrisley reminisced about the time when her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, experienced an “unprecedented low” prior to receiving a presidential pardon from Donald Trump.

Savannah, aged 27, expressed during her appearance on ‘My View with Lara Trump’ on the 28th of June, that she had exhausted all possible actions and at this juncture, there was nothing left for her to do.

56-year-old Todd and his wife, Julie at 52, were granted a pardon by President Trump in May, after they had been found guilty on 12 charges involving tax evasion, bank fraud, wire fraud, and conspiracy in the year 2022. Todd received a sentence of 12 years imprisonment, while Julie was sentenced to serve for seven years. However, both the Chrisleys have consistently claimed their innocence throughout this entire ordeal.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but share my fervent belief that, in their most recent interview, Savannah passionately asserted that the Chrisley family’s best hope, as she saw it, lay with President Trump’s victory in last November’s election. She strongly suggested that this was the only viable route for her parents to navigate through their current situation.

Savannah shared, “My brother Grayson, who is 19, cast his first vote in the election, and I watched it with him on a personal level. When the results came in showing the president winning, we both burst into tears. He comforted me by giving me a tight hug, understanding that victory was our only hope.

Later on, Todd expressed his gratitude by saying, “It’s thanks to God… God moved President Trump’s heart. God guided the people to support us. I’m thankful because every night I would ask God to bring me back home to my wife and children. And He did just that, so I feel grateful.

Todd Chrisley had the opportunity to express his gratitude directly to President Trump over a video call (FaceTime) after being released from prison, which the Chrisleys shared publicly.

“[I told him,] ‘Thank you, you reunited me with my family,’” Todd confirmed.

Julie escorted Lara Trump, Eric Trump’s wife and the President’s daughter-in-law, as she found out about her upcoming pardon.

Julie recounted, “I phoned Savannah once more and she exclaimed, ‘He’s done it! He’s signed it!’ This set me off crying uncontrollably.” She then continued, “Overwhelmed by anxiety, I simply ended the call. It was an incredible moment because typically, the updates from prison are grim. So they asked, ‘Are you alright?’ To which I replied, ‘I am! I believe I’m about to leave here!’

Todd admitted that he found it hard to trust it when the prison guard informed him about his supposed clemency from the president.

The star of the show Chrisley Knows Best shared that he said, “I entered my dorm and one of the guards came in and asked, ‘Are you alright?’ To which I replied, ‘As well as can be expected!’ The guard then told me, ‘Todd, you’ve been pardoned. They sent me here to check if you were okay.’ I responded, ‘Well, if I’m pardoned, there’s no need for concern! I’m doing fine!’

In a different part of the conversation, Todd confessed that his and Julie’s life after prison was significantly unlike the typical experiences of ex-convicts.

Todd announced, “We’ve left the confines of the prison behind us. Now, we’ve entered a place where we began recording right away, vehicles are being arranged for us, and we’re house hunting, taking care of all the essentials.

He continued, “However, many of these people can’t just leave and find a place to live or buy food. Upon coming out, they often lack a home and the funds.

In May, it was revealed that the Chrisley family had begun shooting a fresh Lifetime docudrama series focusing on Todd and Julie’s life after prison. (As of now, The Untitled Chrisleys Project doesn’t have a confirmed release date from Lifetime.)

Lifetime hinted that the Chrisley family may no longer have all the answers, but they are trying hard to support one another during this time.
