The comedy series Scrubs recently returned after 16 years, and viewers are already wondering if it will be renewed for another season. It’s only been on air for a little over a week!
The show’s comeback has received positive reviews from both critics and viewers. Bill Lawrence, who created the original series and oversaw it previously, is still involved as an executive producer, with Aseem Batra now leading the show as showrunner.
The show’s debut attracted a large audience of 11.36 million viewers across ABC, Hulu, Disney+, and other digital platforms. Lawrence has expressed optimism that the show will be renewed for additional seasons.
Lawrence shared with Deadline that the team is eager to continue the project and is optimistic about the possibility of doing many more installments.

Lawrence has mentioned the possibility of another season before. He previously shared with Deadline that Ken Jenkins, who played Dr. Kelso in the original series, would reprise his role if a second season was approved.
Dr. Kelso plans to return next year. He explained that things didn’t quite fall into place this year, but he’s optimistic about the future.
Even if Scrubs doesn’t come back, Bill Lawrence has plenty on his plate. He’s already renewed his popular Apple TV+ shows – Ted Lasso, Shrinking, and Bad Monkey – for more seasons, and his new series, Rooster, is premiering soon on HBO in the US and Sky in the UK.

The show takes place at a university and features Steve Carell as a father attempting to connect with his daughter, who is facing a difficult time.
Okay, so I was super excited to hear that Scrubs is back! Season 10 actually dropped on Disney+ UK on February 26th, 2026. If you’re thinking of checking it out, a Disney Plus subscription starts at just £5.99 a month, which is a pretty good deal.
Okay, seriously, if you haven’t seen Scrubs, add it to your watchlist on the TopMob ‘What to Watch’ app – I just downloaded it, and it’s great for getting daily TV recommendations and finding out about cool shows. Definitely worth checking out!
