Zach Braff is returning to his role as JD in a new Scrubs reboot, and he’s brought along Donald Faison (Turk) and Sarah Chalke (Elliot)! A recently released trailer gives fans a preview of the trio revisiting the busy Sacred Heart Hospital. In a funny moment, JD confidently announces his return while a group of new interns look confused, unsure why they should recognize him.
The popular medical comedy is coming back in February 2026, almost 15 years after it first aired. The show will once again center on the close friendship of JD and Turk as they reunite and work together after a long time apart.
Though the hospital and its staff have evolved, the strong bond between certain doctors remains constant. Both familiar and new faces at Sacred Heart Hospital deal with the ups and downs of their careers and personal lives, filled with humor, emotion, and unexpected twists.
The show is bringing back several beloved characters, including Judy Reyes as Carla, John C. McGinley as Dr. Cox, Robert Maschio as Dr. Todd Quinlan, and Phill Lewis as Dr. Ben ‘Hooch’ Sullivan.
