See Jonas Brothers Return to Their Roots in First Camp Rock 3 Trailer

Connect 3 wouldn’t change a thing about their past.

The first trailer for Camp Rock 3 reveals that the Jonas Brothers – Joe, Nick, and Kevin – are returning to Camp Rock, the summer camp where their band first gained popularity, to reconnect with their roots.

As the song “Wouldn’t Change a Thing” from Camp Rock 2 plays, the brothers walk towards the lake. Nate Gray (Nick) thoughtfully says, “Music, friendship, memories.”

“We’re back,” Shane Gray (Joe) chimes in. “Exactly where we’re supposed to be.”

Keeping to his detached personality, Jason Gray (Kevin) jokingly mentioned Camp Rock, then added, “Still no birdhouse.”

The Jonas Brothers recently told Deadline that they’ll only be making a quick appearance in Camp Rock 3. The movie will primarily follow new campers Liamani Segura, Malachi Barton, Lumi Pollack, Hudson Stone, and Casey Trotter, all of whom appear briefly in the released teaser. While Demi Lovato, the original star, is an executive producer, she hasn’t been confirmed to be in the cast.

Disney announced that the new story begins with Connect 3 needing a new opening act for their big reunion tour. They return to Camp Rock to find fresh talent. As the campers compete for the spot, drama unfolds, friendships are challenged, and surprising connections – including new romances – are made.

It looks like the cast of the film have become good friends in real life! Liamani and her costars went to a Jonas Brothers concert together in September, and she shared photos and videos from the event. In her Instagram post, she quoted a line from the movie’s trailer – “We’re all exactly where we’re supposed to be” – suggesting she feels a strong connection with her fellow actors.

Before the release of Camp Rock 3 on Disney Channel in the summer of 2026, let’s take a look at what the original Camp Rock cast members are up to now.

He was Shane Gray for crying out loud!

The Jonas Brothers’ frontman starred as the main character in Camp Rock, portraying a brooding rock star – a role he often playfully references by re-enacting moments from the movie for his fans.

Everyone thought Joe would go solo after the group broke up in 2013, particularly since he’d already released a solo album before they split. However, he actually found fame with his band, DNCE, and their popular song, “Cake By the Ocean.”

Plus there was that whole Jonas Brothers rebirth.

Before marrying Sophie Turner from Game of Thrones in 2016, Joe dated Taylor Swift and Gigi Hadid. They got engaged in October 2017.

After the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, Joe and Sophie had a secret wedding ceremony in Las Vegas, playfully exchanging ring pops instead of traditional wedding rings. They later celebrated with a more formal wedding in France.

The couple had two daughters, Willa, born in July 2020, and Delphine, who was born two years after. They announced they were separating in 2023.

She told Harper’s Bazaar in 2024 that it was a very difficult time. “We had a wonderful connection, and it was really tough,” she explained.

Demi Lovato became well-known for playing Mitchie Torres, and this led to her starring in her own Disney Channel show, Sonny With a Chance, which ran for two years.

Demi’s career really blossomed after leaving the network, with popular songs like “Confident,” “Sorry, Not Sorry,” and “Cool for the Summer” – plus seven full albums. She also appeared as a judge on The X Factor and had guest roles on shows like Glee and Will & Grace.

The pop star got engaged to actor Max Ehrich in July 2020, but they broke up just two months later. In August 2022, she started dating musician Jutes, and they got married in May 2025.

Demi Lovato has openly discussed her struggles with mental health for the past ten years. In the 2021 documentary series, Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil, she detailed her life-threatening drug overdose in 2018.

Though the youngest brother played a supporting role as Nate Gray in two movies, Nick Jonas was the only one to pursue acting as a career. He’s known for his roles in the intense MMA drama Kingdom and the TV show Scream Queens. He also appeared in the hugely successful 2017 film Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and its 2019 sequel, and in 2020, he was a coach on The Voice.

Nick continued to find success in music, releasing two solo albums. He even landed a top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with his single, “Jealous.”

In 2019, after the Jonas Brothers announced their reunion and released the popular song “Sucker,” Nick Jonas publicly took responsibility for the band’s split five years earlier in their documentary, Chasing Happiness.

He married actress Priyanka Chopra in a lavish, multi-day wedding celebration in India in December 2018. They welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie, in January 2022.

“Yeah man, this is where Connect 3…connected.”

As a lifestyle expert, I remember when the eldest Jonas brother really broke out – he played Jason Gray in Camp Rock, which was a huge deal! That role, and the popularity of the movie’s music, led to even bigger things. The Jonas Brothers quickly landed their own Disney Channel series, simply called Jonas, and they kept making music too – it was a really exciting time for them, and for their fans!

After the band took a break in 2010, Kevin Jonas focused on his family with Danielle Jonas. They had two daughters, Alena Rose in 2014 and Valentina Angelina in 2016. The couple also appeared in the reality series Married to Jonas. Kevin also became an entrepreneur, starting a real estate and construction company called JonasWerner, and later becoming CEO of The Blu Market Company. He even made a quick appearance on The Real Housewives of New Jersey as a contractor.

Following early roles in films like Step Up and Cheaper by the Dozen, as well as appearances on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Alyson landed the role of Caitlyn Gellar, a young woman hoping to become a producer and dancer.

In addition to appearing in two sequels to Step Up, Alyson has done voice work for the Kingdom Hearts video games and still voices the character Isabella in the popular Disney animated series Phineas & Ferb.

In 2018, Alyson wrote an essay for Teen Vogue about falling in love with their female dance teacher. They also released a song called “When It’s Right,” which was inspired by this relationship.

Speaking with TopMob News, they admitted coming out was a bit frightening, but ultimately worthwhile. They explained it’s a really exciting period of self-discovery, allowing them to truly be themselves.

I was so moved when Alyson shaved their head for the “Stripped Bare” video in 2019. It was incredibly brave, and they later shared that it was connected to their journey with mental health and overcoming an eating disorder. It really resonated with me and showed a lot of vulnerability and strength.

As she shared with People magazine, “It felt like with every strand of hair that fell out, I was letting go of old worries, doubts, and insecurities, and I’m happy to leave them behind.”

I’ll never forget when they absolutely blew everyone away at the VMAs later that year! Seeing them perform “Work It” with Missy Elliott was incredible – especially knowing they’d been in the original music video for the song way back, 17 years earlier. It was a total showstopper and a moment I still think about!

In August 2025, Alyson released their memoir Semi-Well-Adjusted Despite Literally Everything.

Following her role as Tess Tyler in Camp Rock, Meaghan starred in Mean Girls 2 and later played Bianca Stratford in the TV series 10 Things I Hate About You.

Besides appearing on shows like Jessie, Melissa & Joey and House, Meaghan had a recurring role on MTV’s Awkward. She also made her first stage appearance in London in 2019, performing in The Actor’s Nightmare.

Meaghan married British actor Oli Higginson in September 2016.

Roshon first gained recognition playing dancer and rapper Sander Loyer in the Camp Rock movies. He then starred in the popular Disney Channel series Shake It Up alongside Zendaya and Bella Thorne for three seasons.

He appeared on Dancing With the Stars in 2012 and has since been a guest star on popular TV shows like Insecure, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and Greenleaf.

Fegan started his own record label, Iconomous, and releases music under the name ROSHON.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I always love seeing young talent blossom! Many of you might remember Anna Maria Perez de Tagle from her days playing Ella Pador, but she’s done so much more! After wrapping up Hannah Montana, she continued to build an amazing career, popping up in shows like Baby Daddy and the new Charmed. Plus, she totally rocked the 2011 Broadway revival of Godspell – talk about a triple threat!

Former Disney star Bridgit Mendler married Scott Kline Jr. in 2019. Uzo Aduba from Orange Is the New Black was her maid of honor. They had a daughter, Amelia Grace, in June 2021.

Canadian rapper and actor Corey Baker played the role of breakdancer Barron James in both Camp Rock films. He currently works as a songwriter, producer, and choreographer.

Jordan remained friends with Demi, posting a sweet Instagram tribute in December 2019.

Over the past ten years, I’ve always considered you a truly loyal friend – someone I can always count on, not just for myself, but for my whole family. I want you to know I’m always here for you, and you can always count on my support.

Aaryn, who played singer and dancer Lola Scott in the original Camp Rock movie, didn’t reprise her role in Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, making her one of the few cast members not to return.

After becoming known for her role in a Disney Channel Original Movie, the Canadian performer continues to work as an actress and singer, and she also has her own YouTube channel.

Jasmine Richards, a Canadian singer, played Margaret “Peggy” Dupree in both Camp Rock films. Before that, she was on the TV show Naturally, Sadie, and later she appeared in Bomb Girls.

Jasmine married Mike Caci in September 2018, and they had a son, Luke, in September 2021. She works as a content creator and manages social media.

The actor who played Brown Cesario, the camp owner, has since appeared in popular TV series including 90210, Orphan Black, Reign, Atlanta, and House of the Dragon. He previously starred alongside Rupert Grint (known from Harry Potter) in the TV series Snatch, becoming a regular cast member starting in the second season.

Daniel also appeared in Netflix’s 2017 movie A Christmas Prince and 2025’s The Last Supper.

Julie’s Dee La Duke helped mentor the campers as the musical director in both films.

She was a regular on the show The Middle for multiple seasons. She also appeared in series like Coffee House Chronicles and the 2023 TV movie Craft Me a Romance, and she contributed as a writer for the sitcom Melissa & Joey.
