Kim Kardashian is keeping up with North West‘s social media activity.
Kim Kardashian’s 12-year-old daughter, North West, interrupted her own Instagram Live stream recently.
North suddenly said, “I think my mom’s coming!” There was a rustling sound, and she turned to ask her mom, “Why are you watching my live stream?”
But the tween wasn’t annoyed by Kim. In fact, she told her viewers, “Guys, the GOAT is here.”
Kim, who is a mom to Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 6, said with a laugh, “I hope someone caught that on camera! She actually called me the GOAT, and I’m not sure I’ll ever hear that again.”
That’s when the playful back-and-forth between Kim and North really started, with North teasing her mom to appear on camera, suggesting it would boost the stream’s views and earn them money.
“What?!” Kim blurted out. “No, no, no.”
She continued, “You know I don’t like this.”
Kim Kardashian let North continue filming the video, but stayed nearby to keep an eye on things. She joked that she’d ‘just pop in’ from time to time to check on the stream.
Kim said she was tired and ready for bed, and that her daughter North needed to go to sleep too, so they wouldn’t be joining the live broadcast.
Kim closely monitors what North does online. While she did let North have an Instagram account, it came with certain rules and restrictions.
Kim explained on Khloe Kardashian’s podcast on January 21st that people often assume she’s too lenient with her daughter, North. However, she clarified that North actually has quite a few rules she needs to follow.

Kim clarified on Khloe Kardashian’s podcast that people often assume she’s too lenient with her daughter, North. She explained that’s not true at all, and North actually has quite a few rules she needs to follow.

She also admits to being a bit tougher on her two youngest children compared to North and Saint.
Kim shared, “It’s a unique experience with your first two children – you’re all learning and growing together. But then you gain experience and start to think about how you might approach things differently next time.”

She once wrote that being a mother is a wonderful gift, but she’s seen firsthand with her own mom that it’s challenging, particularly when also working. She feels proud to follow in her mother’s footsteps and hopes to make her as proud as she is of her.

Kim, who filed for divorce in 2021, recently told GQ that the most important thing is for her children to feel loved and understood. She explained that you need to be considerate of their feelings, as going through a divorce is difficult for children of any age.

She told me that my daughter recently said, ‘Dad is the best!’ She thinks I have everything under control because I don’t rely on help like nannies, chefs, or security, and that I live in a regular apartment. Then she gets upset and asks why we don’t have an apartment, saying she can’t believe we don’t.

During a November 2023 episode of The Kardashians, Kim playfully mentioned that her sister Kourtney often says North is meant to be a life lesson for her.
My oldest daughter is really teaching me about patience,” she said with a smile. “She’s taught me so much about life in general.

In a 2018 essay for Wealthsimple, she explained her concerns about spoiling her children. They don’t receive gifts unless they’ve truly earned them, and she and her family frequently discuss the importance of staying grounded and developing a balanced life, rather than accumulating possessions.

In 2018, during a Calvin Klein photoshoot, she explained that becoming a mother completely shifts your priorities to focus solely on your family and what’s happening at home. Everything else becomes less important.
Kim Kardashian emphasized the importance of family, saying, “At the end of the day, family is all that matters, and it keeps you focused and balanced.”

Kim shared in an interview with Mobio Insider that having a child completely transformed her perspective. She explained that priorities shift dramatically, and ultimately, ‘nothing matters except your brand new family.’

Kim wrote in a 2017 blog post about her deep and unwavering love for her children. She explained that she’ll always be there for them, no matter what paths they take in life.
Being a mom also shined new light on her own upbringing.
I grew up in a very tight-knit family, and now that I’m a mother myself, I finally understand the strong connection my parents had with us. Raising kids definitely has its challenges, but they teach me something new all the time. Being a mom is the most fulfilling role I could ask for.

I enjoy sharing parts of my life, but after what happened in Paris, I’ve become more careful about what I post. I’ve realized it’s better to hold onto photos and share them later, once I’ve left a location. Sharing everything immediately didn’t work out well for me, so I’ve changed my approach.

After having her baby, she took some time off work and admitted it was hard to return. She didn’t want to be away from her child, but she learned to balance everything and make it work, she told TopMob News shortly after North West was born.

In 2017, on The Real, Kim said she needed to sort things out before sharing with everyone. If there was something to celebrate – specifically, the baby – she wanted the focus to be on the child. She also mentioned needing to talk to her kids and explain the situation to them first.

She expressed deep gratitude, saying in a 2017 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians that she was incredibly thankful for someone who was so selfless and kind enough to do something for her.

Some mothers prefer to keep breastfeeding private, while others are comfortable doing it in public. As I’ve learned as a mom, I believe whatever feels right for you is the best approach,” she shared in a post on her app back in January 2015.

The reality star shared with TopMob News back in 2015 that they frequently talk about their new baby brother. She recounted a sweet moment from the day before, when her daughter asked, “Mommy, can I kiss baby brother on your tummy?” and then proceeded to kiss her belly.
Kim described her daughter North as “really sweet” and shared that North used to get upset when she held other babies, but has been improving.
She added, “I’m hoping that with her brother it’s a whole new experience.”

Honestly, hearing Kim say that back on Keeping Up With the Kardashians in 2015 still gives me chills! She was just so grateful, calling her pregnancy a total miracle. It’s like she knew how special it was, and she just kept saying how unbelievably blessed she felt. It’s everything!

In June 2015, while pregnant with her second child, Kim tweeted jokingly, “Pregnant KiKi doesn’t mess around! BLOOP!“

Kim shared a sweet message in June 2015, saying moments like being on tour with her husband were the highlights of her life. She praised him as a wonderful father to their daughter North and expressed her excitement for him to be an amazing dad to their soon-to-be-born son as well.

Back in July 2015, while pregnant with her son Saint, Kim Kardashian jokingly tweeted about enjoying the rumors that she was pretending to be pregnant because she was so thin. She then revealed she was five months along (20 weeks) and had gained 20 pounds, making it impossible to hide any longer.

She shared with TopMob News in November 2015 that getting pregnant was a struggle, so she feels incredibly grateful to be expecting. She added that all the difficulties were completely worth it.

The reality star responded to online criticism about her pregnancy after some people accused her of faking it. She shared a nude selfie and wrote that she was initially told she looked too thin to be pregnant, and now people are saying she’s too big, which she found frustrating.
She shared in an August 2015 Instagram post that every body and every pregnancy is unique. She also said she’s learned to appreciate her body through all its changes.

Back in November 2015, she jokingly mentioned on her app that she was hoping to receive a Lorraine Schwartz diamond choker for her pregnancy, similar to ones she’d worn to the Art + Film Gala. She added with a laugh, ‘Is that asking too much?’

Kim Kardashian shared on Twitter in 2015 that having her daughter is the most important thing she’s ever accomplished. She explained that once you become a parent, your priorities completely shift, and your child becomes everything.

Kim Kardashian shared in a 2015 tweet that becoming a mother to her first daughter was the most fulfilling thing she’d ever done. She explained that having a child completely shifts your focus, making them your absolute top priority, a sentiment she expressed before welcoming her other children, Chicago, Saint, and Psalm.

I remember when she playfully posted on Instagram back in October 2015 that she felt so small surrounded by all the supermodels! She added a ‘LOL’ and the hashtag #InStyleAwards – it was such a funny, relatable moment!

Kim Kardashian repurposed the Givenchy dress she famously wore to the 2013 Met Gala – while pregnant with North – as a Halloween costume during her pregnancy with Saint.
“Still fits,” she captioned an October 2015 snapshot. “I think I nailed the Kim K costume!”
