There’s a certain appeal to a team made up of unpredictable, independent characters, and the reveal trailer for Serious Sam: Shatterverse suggests the game understands that.
Behaviour Interactive recently showed off their new roguelite action game at the Xbox Partner Showcase. It’s a bit funny because the characters you play as are a seriously unruly group. Despite their bad behavior, they’re surprisingly good at what they do, using their unique abilities and personalities to cause trouble for enemies. That makes sense, though – they’re all different versions of the same character, Sam, from across the multiverse.
You’ll play with a team of five in a game where you repeatedly attempt challenging levels. It looks like a really fun experience, set in beautiful environments filled with enemies that will definitely test your skills. Expect crazy action, powerful upgrades, and a lot of unpredictable moments, all guided by the creative vision of Mental.
There’s no confirmed release date yet, but if you’re interested, the reveal trailer below is a fun watch.
