I’m so excited! Owlcat Games and Another Angle just announced that Shadow of the Road, a story-focused, turn-based RPG, is coming to PC in 2026. It’ll be available on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG, which is awesome!

In 1868, Japan is a nation ripped apart by civil war. The traditional forces of the Shogun are battling the Emperor’s army, who are equipped with advanced technology and supported by the British East Nippon Company. This is a world where warriors, spies, and magical creatures exist alongside steam-powered machines and ancient temples – a stark contrast of old and new. Japan is at a turning point, struggling to balance its rich history with the pressures of modernization. The outcome of this conflict will decide the nation’s future.
Your Story, Your Choices
Join a thrilling adventure guided by Tokugawa’s master spy! He’s assembled a team – the wandering samurai Satoru and Akira – to safeguard a young boy with incredible, but dangerous, abilities.
