Sharon Osbourne is sharing insight into Ozzy Osbourne’s last moments.
The singer, who first appeared on America’s Got Talent, recently shared more information about the time she spent with her late husband, Black Sabbath’s lead singer, before he died in July at the age of 76. They had married in 1982.
She recounted how he repeatedly went to the bathroom throughout the night, waking her up around 4:30 a.m. With tears in her eyes, she said she responded with frustration, telling him she was already awake because of his movements.
“He said, ‘Kiss me,’” she continued. “And then he said, ‘Hug me tight.’”
Reflecting on what happened that night, the 73-year-old woman said she regretted not fully enjoying the pleasant experience.
“If only I’d have told him I loved him more,” she continued. “If only I’d have held him tighter.”
It was devastating to learn that Ozzy passed away the next day. He had a heart attack not long after doing a little exercise, and it was completely unexpected. As a longtime fan, it’s just heartbreaking.
“I ran downstairs, and there he was,” she recalled. “They were trying to resuscitate him, and I’m like, ‘Don’t—just leave him. Leave him. You can’t. He’s gone.”
Sharon Osbourne, who has three children – Aimee, 42, Kelly, 41, and Jack, 40 – with her husband Ozzy, also talked about the time before his death. She mentioned he was dreaming about people he’d never met.

She recalled asking, “What sort of people are we talking about?” He responded that it was “all different kinds of people.” He explained that he would walk around every night, observing them, and they would observe him, all without a word spoken between them.
“He knew,” she added. “He was ready.”
Despite the family’s sadness over the loss of their father, they’ve received some good news. Jack and his wife, Aree Gearhart, recently announced they are expecting their second child together – Jack’s fifth child overall – and were able to share the joyful news with his dad before he passed away.
Jack explained in an interview with The Sun on Sunday that focusing on this has been both a welcome distraction and a way to begin healing. He said it’s shifted his energy away from grief and toward feeling more hopeful.
As Ozzy’s legacy expands once more, keep reading for a closer look at the Osbourne family tree.

As a lifestyle observer, I’ve always been fascinated by the life of Ozzy Osbourne. Born John Michael Osbourne in Birmingham, England, back in 1948, it took him until his late twenties to really hit the music scene with Black Sabbath. He formed the iconic heavy metal band with Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward, and soon after, in 1971, he married Thelma Riley. They had two children, Louis and Jessica, and Thelma brought her son Elliot into the family. But as Ozzy himself admitted, fame came with a dark side – the money fueled a difficult period with alcohol and drugs, and he acknowledges he behaved badly.
By 1979, Ozzy moved on from Black Sabbath to pursue a solo career, and his personal life also shifted – he and Thelma divorced in 1982, the same year he married Sharon, whose father actually managed Black Sabbath! Their relationship was incredibly open, and they weren’t shy about sharing both the good and the bad. They welcomed Aimee, Kelly, and Jack into the world in the ’80s, renewed their vows in 2017, but also navigated tough times, including a difficult incident in 1989 and a temporary separation in 2016.
For a while, we got a peek into their lives through their reality show, The Osbournes, which was groundbreaking for its honesty. Later in life, Ozzy faced health challenges, including Parkinson’s disease and injuries from an ATV accident in 2003, which led him to step back from performing. He did make a final appearance with Black Sabbath in July 2025, but sadly passed away just weeks later at the age of 76. It’s a life story filled with rock and roll, family, and a lot of honesty.

Sharon, born in 1952, began managing Ozzy Osbourne in 1979 after he left Black Sabbath, and their professional relationship quickly blossomed into romance. Ozzy admitted he fell in love with her even while still married to his first wife.
Beyond managing Ozzy, Sharon has also worked with bands like The Smashing Pumpkins, Motörhead, and The Electric Light Orchestra. She later transitioned into television, starring in the reality show The Osbournes. She also appeared as a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice, judged on The X Factor and America’s Got Talent, and hosted The Talk for eleven years before being let go in 2021.
Both Sharon and Ozzy have been open about their health struggles. Sharon battled colon cancer in 2002, successfully entering remission the following year, underwent a preventative double mastectomy in 2012, and was hospitalized for a medical issue in 2022. Despite facing numerous challenges, the couple have remained devoted to each other.
In a 2023 interview, Sharon described them as “two oddballs” who found each other as young and wild individuals. She acknowledged that their relationship hasn’t always been easy, but emphasized the importance of working through difficult times when you love someone.

Aimee Osbourne, born in September 1983, is the eldest of Ozzy and Sharon’s three children. Like her parents, she’s a musician, singing and writing songs both as a solo artist and with her band, ARO. However, unlike the rest of her family, Aimee chose not to appear on the reality TV show The Osbournes in the early 2000s. She explained in a 2021 interview that she didn’t want to benefit from nepotism and felt strongly about protecting her family’s privacy, especially given her father’s public life. As a teenager, she also wanted to maintain her personal life and felt the show didn’t align with her career goals. Aimee was determined to be taken seriously for her own talent and build a career on her own merits. While she avoided the reality show, she hasn’t shied away from the spotlight entirely, having acted in MTV’s Wuthering Heights adaptation, done voice work for Postman Pat: The Movie, and appeared in her own music videos. Unfortunately, Aimee’s relationship with her sister, Kelly, is strained. Kelly revealed in a 2024 interview that they don’t speak, attributing their disconnect to being fundamentally different and lacking mutual understanding.

Oh my gosh, Kelly Osbourne! I’ve followed her forever. She’s just…amazing. She came along just 13 months after her sister, and honestly, she’s done so much with her life. She’s an actress – I loved her in Life as We Know It and So Undercover with Miley Cyrus! – but that’s not even the half of it. She’s a singer with two albums out, she was on The Osbournes and Dancing With the Stars, and she’s been a judge on Project Runway: Junior and Australia’s Got Talent! Seriously, is there anything she can’t do? She’s also a designer and hosted shows like Project Catwalk, Fashion Police, and Lego Masters Jr.
What I admire most is how open she is. She’s talked about her struggles with addiction – so proud of her for getting sober! – and her past relationships with Luke Worrall and Matthew Mosshart. She’s been so brave facing all the criticism about her body, too. She told Us Weekly that she’s grateful for every mistake she’s made, and honestly, that’s so inspiring.
And her life now is just beautiful. She has the sweetest little boy, Sidney, born in November 2022, and she’s engaged to Sid Wilson! She even said Sidney saved her and made her a whole person. She didn’t even realize what true love was until she had him, and that she finally found her purpose. It’s just… everything! She used to be consumed by self-doubt, but now she’s thriving, and I couldn’t be happier for her.

Jack Osbourne, born in November 1985, gained public attention after appearing on the reality show The Osbournes. He briefly pursued acting, with small roles in shows like Dawson’s Creek and the movie New York Minute starring Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. He continued to be a familiar face on television, participating in reality and competition series such as Union Jack, Jack Osbourne: Adrenaline Junkie, Dancing With the Stars, and Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.
Beyond appearing on screen, Jack has also worked as a producer, creating documentaries like God Bless Ozzy Osbourne (2011) and the series Alpha Dogs (2013). He often combines both roles, both producing and starring in shows like Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour and his paranormal series Portals to Hell.
Jack has been open with his fans about personal challenges, including his struggles with mental health, his journey to sobriety starting in 2003, and his multiple sclerosis diagnosis, which he revealed in 2012. He has expressed that the diagnosis gave him a new perspective and motivated him to live a more purposeful life.
He is a father to four daughters: Pearl, Andy, and Minnie with ex-wife Lisa Stelly, and Maple with wife Aree Gearheart, and often speaks about his gratitude for his family.

Oh man, it breaks my heart to hear his kids talk about growing up. It’s just…Ozzy was Ozzy, you know? Always on tour, always living the rockstar life. Jessica described it perfectly – it was this constant cycle of him leaving, them adjusting, things feeling normal for a bit, and then him being gone again. She said it was a really unpredictable childhood, and honestly, it sounds so tough. Louis admitted that when Ozzy was home, he was a fantastic dad…but only when he wasn’t out at the pubs! Can you imagine? Still, they loved him. Even after his divorce from Thelma, they stayed close. I remember that episode of The Osbournes when Jessica called to tell him she’d had a baby – he was so thrilled to become a grandfather! Louis says he sees Aimee, Kelly, and Jack every now and then, but it’s hard with them being in America and him traveling so much. They mostly connect at big events, which is so sad. But he and Louis make a point of talking every Sunday, and when he visits the UK, they always get the grandkids together. Louis says he’s a really doting grandfather, which is amazing to hear. It’s just…they all deserved more time with him, you know? And I barely ever hear anything about Elliot, which is a shame. I just want them all to be happy!
