Marvel’s cosmic universe has been dramatically changed by the recent comic event, *Imperial*, created by Jonathan Hickman, Iban Coello, and Federico Vincentini. What’s exciting about this large-scale intergalactic war story is the introduction of many new characters and places – and it’s sending She-Hulk on a surprising and dangerous solo adventure to a harsh planet.
Jennifer Walters was left in charge on the planet New Sakaar by the Hulk, expecting a short-term assignment. However, maintaining order has proven difficult given the ongoing conflict, and she now faces a major challenge. She’ll need more than just her legal skills to succeed – she might even need to take up arms.
ComicBook is offering a first look at *Planet She-Hulk* #1, written by Stephanie Phillips and illustrated by Aaron Kuder. This new series is a spin-off from Jonathan Hickman’s *Imperial*, and will follow She-Hulk as she takes on a similar responsibility to her cousin Hulk – overseeing an entire planet. However, because She-Hulk is a very different hero than the Hulk, fans can anticipate a unique approach to ruling Sakaar and a different outcome for Jennifer Walters.
Have Sword, Will Rule
The first issue of *Planet She-Hulk* doesn’t reveal much about Jennifer’s overall story on Sakaar, but it definitely promises a lot of action and sword fights. The artwork shows She-Hulk in a gladiatorial battle against a fearsome creature, making her sword seem small in comparison. However, Jennifer will rely on more than just weapons; we also see a bar fight and a villain whose spear doesn’t seem to be a threat to She-Hulk.

Marvel’s new *Planet She-Hulk* #1 finds She-Hulk unexpectedly stranded on the planet Sakaar! She originally agreed to look after Sakaar for a short time while her cousin, Hulk, was away. However, that ‘short time’ has stretched on, and now she’s responsible for maintaining peace on a planet torn apart by conflict. The twist? Jennifer Walters, as She-Hulk, approaches things very differently than the Hulk who once conquered Sakaar – will she be able to handle the challenge?
Planet She-Hulk #1 goes on sale November 5th.
