Shia LaBeouf is facing legal trouble.
According to jail records obtained by TopMob News, the actor known for his role in Holes was arrested in New Orleans on February 17th during the city’s Mardi Gras celebrations.
Shia LaBeouf, 39, was arrested on a misdemeanor battery charge.
TopMob News has reached out to reps for LaBeouf regarding his arrest.
New Orleans police say the former Disney star was arrested shortly after midnight after allegedly attacking two people.
According to authorities, 39-year-old Shia LaBeouf was causing a scene and becoming more and more aggressive at a business on Royal Street. An employee tried to remove him from the building, and after he was outside, LaBeouf reportedly punched the employee multiple times.
According to police reports, one victim stated that LaBeouf initially left the area, but then came back and behaved even more aggressively.
According to authorities, several people tried to restrain the suspect, hoping he would leave, but he allegedly hit the first victim again, punching them in the upper body. He then reportedly punched another person in the nose.
Before his arrest, police stated that LaBeouf received medical attention for unspecified injuries.
Shia LaBeouf, who remarried Mia Goth in 2020 after their initial wedding in 2018, is scheduled to appear in court on February 17th. A preliminary hearing is set for March 19th. In Louisiana, a conviction for simple battery can result in a fine of up to $1,000, up to six months in jail, or both.

In July, Shia LaBeouf resolved a legal case brought by his former girlfriend, FKA Twigs (Tahliah Debrett Barnett), whom he dated in 2019. She dropped her $10 million lawsuit against him, ending all claims, according to reports from TopMob News.
In a joint statement, lawyers for both sides announced that they’ve reached a settlement in the case, avoiding a trial. Bryan Freedman, representing Barnett, and Shawn Holley, representing LaBeouf, stated that the terms of the agreement will remain confidential, and both parties expressed wishes for each other’s future happiness and success.
