Shonen Jump’s Coolest New Anime Confirms Release Date Ahead of Premiere

Shonen Jump has plenty more anime adaptations planned for the rest of the year, and we now have a release date for one of the most anticipated new series. It’s already been a fantastic year for Shonen Jump anime, and things are just getting started! The anime schedule for Spring 2026 is filling up, including the premiere of a brand-new manga adaptation. Thanks to a talented animation studio, fans will be able to watch it this April.

I recently saw that the anime Marriagetoxin, created by Joumyaku and Mizuki Yoda, has a confirmed release date! It was originally planned for sometime this spring, but now they’ve announced it will premiere on April 7th. With so many new anime coming out this spring, this is definitely one fans will want to remember and check out.

The anime series Marriagetoxin is set to premiere in Japan on April 7th as part of the Spring 2026 season. Currently, there’s no news about when or where it will be available internationally. The series boasts a talented creative team, including director Motonobu Hori (known for his work with Bones Film on titles like Gachiakuta and My Hero Academia), scriptwriter Kimiko Ueno, chief animation director Kohei Tokuoka, and composers Taisei Iwasaki and Yuma Yamaguchi.

The upcoming series Marriagetoxin boasts a talented voice cast, including Haruki Ishiya as Hikaru Gero, Shion Wakayama as Mei Kinosaki, Anna Nagase as Kyoko Himekawa, Mariya Ise as Shizuku Ushio, Asaki Yuikawa as Shiori Ureshino, Soma Saito as Genya Naruko, Hirano Shirahama as Kimie Arashiyama, Simba Tsuchiya as Piichi Nakagawa, Haruka Shiraishi as Akari Gero, and Isamu Yusen as Toshiki Hanamaki. The show promises to be gripping and is expected to premiere this Spring, regardless of whether it’s released through Shonen Jump or another platform.

What Is Marriagetoxin?

You can start reading Marriagetoxin now on Viz Media’s digital platform or Shueisha’s MangaPlus, ahead of its official release in April. The story follows an assassin whose family tries to force his sister into marriage. To protect her, he volunteers to marry instead, and teams up with a professional marriage con artist to find a bride.

This series is truly unique, unlike typical romance or action shows. It’s definitely one to watch this spring! Now, it just needs a streaming platform to release it outside of Japan, and hopefully, we’ll have news about that soon.
