To improve Hinako’s abilities and add more Omamori slots in Silent Hill f, you’ll need a certain amount of both Faith and Ema. Ema is harder to find, available in only a few places, and even more locations are locked until you play New Game+ and New Game++.
As a big fan of Silent Hill f, I’ve put together this guide to help everyone find *all* the Ema locations. It covers everything I’ve discovered across several playthroughs, so you won’t miss a single one!
Ebisugaoka
- Heading east, look for a save point. Directly opposite it is a house with some containers on the ground behind a makeshift straw fence.
- Past the warehouse, head further east and onto the fenced-in area of a house to find a water trough there.
Dark Corridors
Atop a crate on the left side of the long chests in the north-west of the map.
Ebisugaoka
At the south end, cross the bridge leading from the save point. You’ll find it resting on a small wall close to some cylinders.
Hall
Pull the blue lever in the puzzle room in order to go through the blue door.
Ebisugaoka
Resting on a rock by the trees to the right of the path, as you head towards the refuge.
Main Hall – 1st Floor
You’ll need a Mask of the Fox Clan to get into a hidden room. It’s located three rooms to the west of the save point. Look for walls with bloodstains – that’s how you’ll know you’re in the right place.
Ebisugaoka
At the wrecked truck, bear left and down the street to find a bench.
Shimizu Residence II
Immediately upon entering this area, in a side room with a small alcove.
Shimizu Residence III
Atop a stack of crates on the northern end of the hallway on the west.
Ebisugaoka
Okay, so I’m back outside. I need to turn right at that wrecked truck, and then head down the street. Keep an eye out on the right side of the path – I’m looking for a rusty barrel. That’s where I need to go next!
New Game Plus will have you using the Brooch to access a different set of Ema.
Ebisugaoka
Okay, so after you hit that first save point, go down the stairs and then turn right. You should see a box just sitting on the ground – that’s what we’re looking for!
Save Path
At the foot of a tree in the newly opened up area, while doing ‘Open the Vault’.
Ebisugaoka
After you pass the save point, glance diagonally to your right. You’ll see a single tree and a few small stone buildings. The box you’re looking for is on the ground near them.
Ebisugaoka
As you walk towards the mountain behind the middle school, climb two short sets of stairs. However, instead of continuing up the next set, turn left. Continue to the very back left side of the building, and then walk around to the house next door to the left. You’ll find a small footbridge – cross it to locate a stool positioned close to the door.
Hall
Go down the west hallway, then carefully walk through the tight space on the left. After that, open the door that’s on your right.
Ebisugaoka
As you head towards Shu’s house, continue climbing the stairs until you reach the far north side of this area. Walk around the left side of the open outdoor building to discover a box sitting on the ground.
Main Hall – 1st Floor
When pursuing Fox Mask, go up two flights of stairs and navigate around the damaged floorboards. Continue along this route until you exit back into the open area. Then, cross both sets of footbridges located on the left side. After that, head uphill to the right and enter the building. Look in the shadowy corner next to the cabinets, which are to the right of the door.
Ebisugaoka
Now that you’re outside again, keep an eye out for a house with a big, fenced yard on the right side of the path as you go north. You’ll see a box sitting on the ground – that’s what you’re looking for.
Shimizu Residence I
As you search for Shu and Rinzo, go down the main hallway to the left of the save point. Turn right into the first doorway you see, and then continue through the next door. In the room, look for a stack of boxes and a chest located on the left side.
Treasure Hall
When you enter the big room filled with statues and several doors, go to the closest door on your right. Then, look at the table located in the back right corner of that room.
Your third playthrough in New Game Plus 2 will net you the final Ema.
Ebisugaoka
As you head back to the Shimizu residence, continue climbing the stairs until you reach the far north side. Instead of going through the gate, turn right. You’ll easily find the final Ema resting on a rock near the statue in this open area.
You only need 18 Ema to unlock the trophy/achievement “Close To The Sun”.
There are a total of 22 Ema hidden throughout Silent Hill f.
