It looks like we now have a possible release timeframe for Silent Hill: Townfall, the game announced by Konami and Annapurna Interactive back in 2022. Information about the game has been scarce for the past three years, though Konami has assured fans it’s still being developed. Recent news from the publisher suggests the long period of silence surrounding Townfall may soon be over.
As a huge Silent Hill fan, I was so excited to read that Konami is planning to release a new game in the series every year! Apparently, they kicked things off this year with the Silent Hill 2 remake, and they’ve already announced Silent Hill f for 2025. While they haven’t given us any details about 2026 yet, it definitely sounds like we’re going to get another new Silent Hill game before the year is out. It’s great to see Konami is committed to bringing more experiences to the franchise!
Okamoto stated that they plan to release roughly one new Silent Hill game each year, including both previously announced and surprise titles. While he acknowledges achieving this goal isn’t guaranteed, he’s committed to doing his best as the series producer. The team hopes to keep the excitement for Silent Hill growing and asks fans to be patient as they work on providing further updates.
Silent Hill: Townfall Has to Be Out in 2026
Although Okamoto didn’t explicitly state that Silent Hill: Townfall will be released in 2026, that timeframe seems highly likely. Besides Townfall, the only other Silent Hill project currently known to be in development is a remake of the original game. However, the Silent Hill remake is still in the early stages, whereas Townfall has been in development for several years.
Recent leaks have fueled speculation that Silent Hill: Townfall might be released within just a few months. While this seems a bit fast considering how little we know about the game, it does suggest a release within the next year is very likely.
It’s possible that Silent Hill: Townfall is further off, and could be one of the unannounced Silent Hill games mentioned by Okamoto, with a release in 2026. However, based on the latest news, it seems Townfall is more likely to come out next year, meaning we should hear significant details about the project soon.
