Sims fans, get ready for a change! One of the older games in the popular Sims franchise is about to become unplayable. The Sims has been a hugely successful series for decades, including games like SimCity, and its continued popularity has allowed EA to release lots of extra content. While players are eager for *The Sims 5*, it doesn’t seem to be happening anytime soon, as the developers are currently focused on continuing to update and expand *The Sims 4*.
If you play *The Sims Mobile* on your phone, you won’t be able to download it much longer. It will be removed from app stores tomorrow, October 21st. If you already have the game, you can keep playing it until January 20th, 2026, when the game servers will shut down. Because *The Sims Mobile* needs an internet connection to run, it will no longer be playable after that date.
The Sims Mobile Will Give Free Access to Content Before Shutting Down for Good
Starting January 6th, all Build Mode and Create-A-Sim items in *The Sims Mobile* will be available to everyone for free, without needing to reach any specific level. This means you’ll have a couple of weeks to build and create anything you want without limitations! We recommend spending any in-game currency you have before this date, as it won’t be very useful afterward, and we won’t be offering refunds.
The team behind The Sims Mobile wants to express their gratitude to the entire Sims community. They’ve been incredibly impressed by the creativity, kindness, and imagination shown through players’ stories, creations, and Sims. As a thank you for sharing this journey together, they have a few special surprises planned as The Sims Mobile reaches its conclusion.
You’ll still be able to play and buy *The Sims 3*, *The Sims 4*, and the classic *Sims* games that were recently re-released. These versions offer the best overall *Sims* experience and will continue to be available for fans to enjoy. If you’re looking for *Simslike games on mobile, the *MySims* series is also available.
