If you’re playing Skate 4, you’ve probably noticed some of the missions and challenges can be tricky. One common issue is that the game doesn’t always recognize tricks correctly, like with the Hippy Jump. But don’t worry – the Hippy Jump is actually quite easy to learn! Here’s a guide to help you complete the challenge.
How to Hippy Jump
To Hippy Jump, you have to press two buttons at the same time.
- Xbox: X + A
- Playstation: Square + X
Success in this trick relies heavily on timing. As your skater jumps over the obstacle, their board will keep moving. To land successfully, you need to jump and have your board pass through at the same moment, allowing you to land back on it. Holding onto the controls will help you keep your skater balanced during the landing.
Many players make a mistake by attempting to jump over the benches lengthwise, when they should be jumping from the sides. As the image below demonstrates, the correct technique involves jumping over the benches from their sides.
Truly, the hardest part about the mission is trying to get the game to realize you actually did it.
