The latest Skate game automatically lets you play with friends on different platforms – a great feature that solves the problem of being unable to play together due to everyone having different consoles. However, you’ll still need to learn how to send invitations to actually use this cross-platform functionality, and that’s what this guide will show you.
How to Invite Cross Platform Friends & Party Up | Skate 4

To play with friends on other devices, first open the Social & Spectate menu. You can access this by opening the pause menu.

Next, go to the Social & Spectate menu and use L1/R1 (on PlayStation) or LB/RB (on Xbox) to select the Search tab. Type your friend’s username there to find them – you can use either their username for the game platform or their EA ID. We suggest using the EA ID if possible, as it works across all platforms.

After locating your friend, simply select their name and click “Add EA Friend.” They’ll then receive a request in the Requests section of the Social & Spectate menu, which they can accept.
Once you’ve added your friend, simply find them in the ‘Friends’ section of the ‘Social & Spectate’ menu. Select their name, then choose ‘Invite to Party’. Once they accept, you’ll both be in a party and ready to play together!
You can also make progress with friends by finishing cooperative Goals. Completing these Goals helps unlock new zones!
Error: Cross-Play Disabled

If you receive an error message saying Cross-Play is turned off, double-check that it’s actually enabled. You can find the Cross-Play setting in the Social & Spectate tab within the game’s Settings. It should be labeled ‘Cross-Play Enabled,’ similar to what’s shown in the image above.
If you’re still having trouble even after turning the setting on, it’s probably not something you can fix. Some players are seeing this error even when everything is set up correctly, suggesting it’s a bug within the game itself. It’s also possible the problem is with the game’s servers, or that EA has temporarily turned off cross-play.
Unfortunately, if you encounter this error, there isn’t much you can do except wait and try again later. We realize this is frustrating, but these issues sometimes occur with games still in Early Access. We’re working to fix it as quickly as possible!
Now that you have all the information, you can invite your friends on other platforms to play Skate 4 together! We hope you have a great time skating with them.
