In Skate 4, you improve your rank by earning Rep. However, the leveling system is different from many other games. Instead of having one overall level for your account, Rep increases your level within each specific area of the game. This guide will explain how the Rep system works and how to gain Rep to level up.

Just to reiterate, Skate 4 doesn’t have one overall level for your account. Instead, you’ll earn separate ranks and levels in each of the game’s four areas. You can see your progress, or ‘Rep’ level, in a specific area by simply looking at the world map and hovering over that zone.

You’ll level up whenever you reach certain reputation milestones. For instance, the player pictured has over 1900 Reputation in Hedgemont, which means they’ve reached Level 3 in that area!

To earn rewards and increase your level, head to the Skate Shop. You can fast travel there by simply pressing the right stick while your cursor is over the area you want to progress in. Doing so will also unlock new items at the shop.

You earn Reputation (Rep) by finishing Goals in Challenges found in each area. When you look at Challenges on the world map, you’ll see purple upward arrows indicating the Rep reward. Simply complete a Goal within a Challenge, and you’ll gain Rep for the region where that Challenge is located. It’s that easy!
