With so many new games coming out this week, you might have missed that *Skate*, the free-to-play multiplayer skating game, is now available in early access. You can play it on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. Here’s the launch trailer!
Although Skate briefly reached over 81,000 players on Steam, its launch has been troubled by long server queues. Currently, the game has a “Mixed” user rating, with less than half (47% of 6,734 reviews) being positive. Players are reporting issues with the replay editor, finding the missions repetitive, and are disappointed by limited communication features and the absence of beloved modes like death races and S.KA.T.E.
The game’s launch is just the beginning! Full Circle Studios has announced a detailed plan for future updates and events. Season 1 kicks off on October 25th, bringing fresh seasonal events, challenges, locations, and the Skate Pass. Players can also look forward to improvements to the replay editor and park creation tools, new ways to play, and voice chat for parties, among other additions.
