SNES Series Returns With New PS5 Game With 98/100 PlayStation Store Rating

A beloved series originally on the SNES has made a comeback with a new game for the PS5, and it’s receiving incredible feedback! PS5 players have given it a near-perfect score of 98/100 on the PlayStation Store, showing fans are really enjoying the game, which launched on May 28th for $49.99 (or $44.99 with a PlayStation Plus membership). The game is also a hit on other platforms – it’s been available on Steam since 2025 and boasts an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating, meaning 95% of its 1,244 user reviews are positive.

The farming and life simulation game Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is now available on PS5, following its release on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC last August. Players on PS5 had to wait a year, but reviews suggest the experience hasn’t suffered for it. It’s worth noting that the game doesn’t currently offer any special enhancements for the PlayStation 5 Pro. Despite this, Grand Bazaar is one of the top-rated new games on the PlayStation Store this year.

A Very Addictive PS5 Game

One user review perfectly sums up the game, calling it incredibly addictive. Players often intend to play for just a short time, but quickly find themselves engrossed for hours, even finishing entire seasons. The game also boasts stunning, high-quality graphics and a simple, accessible gameplay experience.

This game is a remake of Harvest Moon DS: Grand Bazaar, originally released on the Nintendo DS in 2008. It’s the 19th installment in the long-running Story of Seasons / Harvest Moon series, which began in 1996 with the original Harvest Moon on the Super Nintendo. The series is widely considered to be the first of its kind, establishing the farming simulation genre.

The game lets you create a farm in Zephyr Town and restore the town’s beloved bazaar by setting up a stall to sell what you grow. You’ll manage your farm, get to know the townspeople, and even build relationships with them.
