Snooki Details Conversation With Her Kids About Cervical Cancer Diagno

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi had to have a difficult conversation with her family.

After recently revealing her stage 1 cervical cancer diagnosis, the former Jersey Shore star is getting ready for a hysterectomy. She recently explained how she talked to her children – Lorenzo, 13, Giovanna, 11, and Angelo, 6 – and her husband, Jionni LaValle, about her health.

Snooki recently shared with TopMob News that she explained to her children she needed surgery, reassuring them she would be okay. However, her oldest child then asked if that meant she was going to die.

Lorenzo attempted to ease the tension by playfully asking the mother of three, “Will you leave me anything?”

When telling her children about her cancer, the reality TV star focused on reassuring them and easing any worries they might have had.

“My children are such a joy and incredibly resilient,” she shared. “They understand that I need to prioritize my health to get through these surgeries, and they’re confident everything will be alright.”

How is Snooki getting ready for her hysterectomy – the surgery to remove her uterus and prevent needing more treatments – both emotionally and physically?

As she put it, “I’m taking it one step at a time.”

After being diagnosed, connecting with online support groups was incredibly helpful for the 38-year-old as she figured out what to do next.

She described her initial reaction to the diagnosis as one of shock and fear. “I honestly thought I was going to die,” she said, admitting she was incredibly upset. She immediately turned to TikTok, where she found a supportive community of women sharing their own experiences – from receiving a diagnosis to going into remission and feeling hopeful about the future.

It just hit me with this incredible feeling of warmth and safety, like everything was going to be alright. And honestly, I was shocked – why wasn’t everyone talking about it? It felt so important, so real, and I couldn’t believe it was being overlooked. I just needed to share how much it resonated with me.

So, the reality star decided to share her own experience publicly.

I realized I needed to share my experience on TikTok. It was amazing to discover how many women felt the same way! It became this incredible space where we could all support each other – sharing our journeys, especially as we faced things like hysterectomies. It was so empowering to feel like we were going through it together, and that simple ‘thank you’ meant the world.
