Soap legend Tristan Rogers dies aged 79 – tributes pour in

Rogers, hailing from Melbourne in 1946, garnered a massive following due to his captivating performances in series such as The Bay and The Young and the Restless.

Last month, it was publicly disclosed that the cherished celebrity had been fighting lung cancer. Tragically, he passed away recently from this illness.

Ever since it was announced that he had passed away, an abundance of heartfelt tributes have been flowing from his colleagues who knew him throughout his 55-year professional journey.

A fellow actor from General Hospital, Genie Francis, recently posted on X: “I feel a deep sorrow. Farewell, my exceptional friend.

Allow me to express my heartfelt sympathies to Teresa and the Rogers children. Tristan Rogers was not just a brilliant actor, but a radiant individual whom it was truly an honor to know.

another beloved figure from General Hospital, Jon Lindstrom, remarked: “The sorrow I experience in light of this news is undoubtedly shared by many of you. Tristan Rogers, one of the most charming and amusing individuals I’ve had the pleasure to encounter, was among us.

Whenever possible, our time together was filled with laughter as we always made an effort to amuse each other. I deeply regret that we didn’t get to spend more moments like that. Rest in peace.

For over half a century, Tristan has held our audience spellbound. It’s hard to imagine Port Charles without his charisma (equivalent to saying it won’t be the same without Robert Scorpio).

Rogers is survived by his wife, Teresa Parkerson, and their children, Sarah and Cale.
