Solo Leveling Studio’s Upcoming Anime Confirms Exciting Update Ahead of Premiere

It’s been a year since the second season of Solo Leveling finished, and fans are still waiting for news about season three. Solo Leveling has become incredibly popular worldwide, and viewers are eager to see the rest of Jinwoo’s story. The second season concluded with a thrilling arc on Jeju Island, where Jinwoo defeated the Ant King and added him to his shadow army. However, many mysteries remain about the world in the series – its history, ancient conflicts, and the origins of the gates. The animation studio behind Solo Leveling, A-1 Pictures, is well-respected and known for other popular anime like Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and Your Lie in April. While fans await more Solo Leveling, A-1 Pictures will be releasing a brand new original anime called Grow Up Show, which was announced last year and is scheduled to premiere in July 2026.

What Is Grow Up Show About?

I’m completely fascinated by the world this story builds! It’s 1950s Japan, a time when the country was really booming and the circus was huge – it was a major part of everyday life. There were tons of different circus groups travelling around, all trying to become the best and earn a spot at the Circus Collection, which was this incredibly famous festival. Our story follows the Himawari Circus, led by the amazing Maria, and they’re having a tough time financially, but they’re determined to keep performing and chase their dreams!

Himawari Circus was facing difficulties until a talented newcomer, Mizuka Tsurumaki, joined and promised to revitalize the entertainment world. While the exact release date and where to stream the anime haven’t been announced yet, more information will be available a few weeks before it premieres. The recently released teaser gives a glimpse into the story and introduces the main characters, whose details can be found on the anime’s official website. Kanta Kanmei, known for directing Bunny Drop, is directing this new series.

The collaborative anime series, Grow Up Show, from A1-Pictures and Psyde Kick Studio, launched last year. These studios previously worked together on the anime film Kusunoki no Bannin, which was released in Japan in January and is awaiting international distribution. While the highly anticipated Solo Leveling is still in production, the studio is also developing new projects, including an anime adaptation of the popular manga Bless, confirmed for release next year and slated for debut in March 2026.
