If all goes according to plan, you might be able to play Santa Monica Studio’s incredibly ambitious game, God of War Laufey, within the next year.
NateTheHate2, who accurately predicted this game before its reveal at this month’s State of Play, recently posted on X (formerly Twitter) that the game is currently planned for release in the first six months of 2027.
He stressed that plans “could change” but this was “the hope at one point”.
When asked about a potential release timeframe for Until Dawn 2 similar to another game, the source stated it’s possible, but plans aren’t finalized and could change.
It’s going to be fascinating to see what Sony does with Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. They might even save it for the PS6, releasing it as a game playable on both older and newer consoles when that system launches.
2027 looks like it will be a major year for games made by PlayStation’s own studios, as they’re expected to be releasing a lot of highly anticipated titles.
