For a limited time, Sony’s top-rated PS5 game is deeply discounted from its usual price of $70, now available for just $20. This impressive 72% price cut is currently offered by Walmart. GameStop, Best Buy, and Target are also offering similar discounts of 71%, with prices around $19.99. Walmart currently has the lowest price at $19.93.
Honestly, I have no idea how long these deals will last – none of the stores are saying when they end. But right now, as a PS5 player, I can snag God of War Ragnarök for under $20! That’s the lowest price I’ve ever seen for it on PS5, and it’s ten bucks cheaper than the usual digital price. Normally, God of War never goes below $30 on the PlayStation Store, so this is a pretty sweet deal.
The Highest-Rated Sony PS5 Game
With a score of 94 on Metacritic, God of War: Ragnarok shares the title of highest-rated PlayStation 5 game with Astro Bot. While games like Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and Demon’s Souls are also contenders for the best PS5 game from Sony, none have achieved such high critical acclaim. Both God of War: Ragnarok and Astro Bot truly stand out as exceptional titles.
A Great Time to Jump Into the PlayStation Series
While we don’t know exactly when the next major God of War game will come out – especially with remakes of the original trilogy in development – another installment is definitely planned. Plus, there’s the upcoming Amazon TV series, which, while making some changes, will largely be based on the games. It’s a fantastic time to get into the God of War series! However, it’s essential to play the 2018 God of War reboot before diving into its sequel, Ragnarök. Luckily, the 2018 game is currently on sale at both Walmart and Amazon for just $17.74.
