Sophie Turner Shares Glimpse at Lavish 30th Birthday Celebrations

Sophie Turner was anything but a lone wolf on her 30th birthday.

The former Game of Thrones star celebrated a big birthday with a luxurious party and lots of friends.

On January 24th, Sophie celebrated turning 30 and shared photos from the party on Instagram. The pictures were taken by photographer John Taylor, and she captioned the post, “I think I like it so far.”

The actress was seen in photos with her friends Ellie Johnson, Taura Lamb, Tabitha Doherty, and Ellie Wasserberg. In one picture, she’s wearing a sheer, short dress with sparkly chains, and in another, she’s playfully using chandelier earrings to cover her nipples.

A third photo showed Sophie being lifted up by people on the dance floor. She shares two daughters, 5-year-old Willa and 3-year-old Delphine, with her ex-husband, Joe Jonas.

 

The glamorous event, planned by Olive Sky Weddings & Events in the UK, featured dazzling disco balls and large, beautiful floral arrangements created by Artistically Twisted.

And for Sophie, this get-together was long-awaited.

She recently told Net-A-Porter that it’s been weeks—even months—since she last saw her friends or went on a date. She admitted to sometimes prioritizing work and family to the exclusion of other parts of her life, but she’s actively working on finding a better balance and hopes to change that soon.

The Dark Phoenix star also said she’s looking forward to “settle a bit” in her new decade of life.

She said she’s really looking forward to a calmer life in her thirties. She feels like things have been chaotic for a while and she’s ready for a change of pace.

Especially since Sophie has described her 20s to be “relatively hard.”

Even though things are tough right now, I know I’m strong enough to handle it,” the mother of two shared, reflecting on her divorce from Joe, which was finalized in 2024 after a year of being apart. “There’s a lot of pressure and stress, but I’ve faced bigger challenges before. I need to remember that people are surprisingly resilient and can handle more than they realize.”

Shortly after Joe Jonas filed for divorce from Sophie Turner in September 2023, the Game of Thrones actress seemed to be moving on, enjoying a night out with her friend Taylor Swift in New York City.

The divorce between the former couple became complicated when the actress filed a lawsuit, seeking to bring their two daughters, Willa and Delphine Jonas, back to England. A representative for the musician called the lawsuit inaccurate, but the two eventually reached a temporary agreement in October.

Later that month, Sophie hinted at starting a new romance and began a fresh phase in her life.

She started dating British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson, and they were photographed showing affection for each other while on a trip to Paris.

In January 2024, Sophie announced she was starting the new year with a fresh outlook. She described the previous year as a time for female friendships, but predicted the year ahead would be more stable and predictable.

By Spring 2024, the mom of two had left her drama with Joe behind.

She shared with British Vogue in May 2024 that she’s disappointed with how things have unfolded, particularly for her children, who she feels are the ones suffering the most. Despite this, she believes everyone is trying their best and remains hopeful they can resolve the situation. She emphasized that Joe is a wonderful father, and that’s what matters most to her.

In September 2024, Sophie and Joe finalized their divorce. 

Joe said he and Sophie have become friends and are successfully co-parenting their daughters, maintaining a positive relationship for the sake of their children.

During a May 2025 appearance on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose Live Tour, Jonas Brothers singer spoke about wanting his daughters to have strong female role models. He shared that having Sophie as their mother is a wonderful thing, calling it a dream come true.
