Just before its Halloween comeback, Comedy Central revealed details about the next episode of South Park. The new special episode, which airs this week, promises exciting new stories and surprising turns as the show continues its current season.
South Park sets Halloween special release date for new episode
As a huge South Park fan, I was excited to see they’re doing a special Halloween episode! Comedy Central announced it’ll air on Friday, October 31st at 10 p.m. Eastern and Pacific time. It’s a bit of a change since the show usually comes on Wednesdays, but a Halloween special is always worth it! I first saw the news on their official X (formerly Twitter) account.
The latest episode of the show arrived shortly after its season began on October 15th. Comedy Central says this episode focuses on a strange disturbance in the East Wing of the White House, and Stan’s concern that South Park is becoming overly focused on politics. It continues a storyline from the premiere, referencing President Trump’s plan to tear down part of the White House to build a ballroom.
A promotional image shows Donald Trump and Satan watching the East Wing fall apart. Another preview features Kristi Noem and Stephen Miller confronting something otherworldly within the White House. The latest episode of Season 28 continues the story of Trump and Satan’s connection and the growing turmoil in Washington, D.C.
The latest South Park episode, which premiered on October 15th, featured a parody of investor Peter Thiel. In the show, Thiel’s character predicted the world would end in just a week, causing panic among the students of South Park. The episode concluded with Eric Cartman traveling to Washington, D.C., and this storyline will continue in the upcoming Halloween special.
Following this Friday’s episode, South Park will resume its normal airing schedule. Look for new episodes on Comedy Central on November 12th, November 26th, and December 10th. You’ll be able to watch each episode the next day on Paramount+ and other streaming services.
